the end of soft tickling?

In the old days most tickling clips involved soft tickling, both slow and fast. It seems like today though most clips involving mainly hard tickling with only a bit of soft tickling? Almost always the ribs are tickled hard. Whatever happened to placing your hands on someones ribs and lightly moving them upwards ensuring that the nails are dragging along? Or very softly tickling someone's ribs? It seems like today hard tickling is more prominent than soft tickling, at least in f/m tickling, what do you think?

Your right. thats because the lame soft tickling in the earlier years is not popular. i always use soft tickling to a point, but for the most part, i prefer hard tickling. much more effective!

I suppose most of the producers are starting their way from soft tickling - cause its much more difficult to persuade random girl be tormented hard.
You should try videos from Scelyrata, TChannel or SoTicklish - they're exactly "torture by caress", at least from my point.

actually I"ve noticed a lot of f/f seems to be soft but a lot of f/m seems to be hard, anyone agree? There are still some soft tickling f/m clips though,. like the "she tickles him" one

Soft tickling is an art form. It takes time to build and most clips are only 5 to 6 minutes long. What I don’t see a lot of anymore if the pre-tickle anticipation where the lee is squirming before they’re even touched, or the aftershock where they can’t seem to get control of themselves.
The ticklers in these videos don’t seem to grasp the concept of how to use a blindfold either. It should (in my opinion) be used to build tension. Talking to the lee. Telling them what they’re in for, letting them hear the whir of an electric toothbrush or the hum of a vibrator and know that it’s coming. Once contact is made the value of the blindfold is lost. That’s when you withdraw and make them go thru the agony of anticipation all over again.

In my limited experience of viewing clips, it appears that the hard tickling occurs most often with /m videos, whereas with /f videos it can go either way about equally (though lately I have noticed the harder tickling more often). I have a slight theory for the idea of the male tickling.

Maybe it's just a matter of old stereotypes? Man ==> tougher ==> therefore must be broken with harder tickling? It's not necessarily true, of course, but... *Shrugs*

Or the producers are just on something. I often wind up thinking too much and giving directors too much credit. =P

I often find myself going for harder tickling (although not all the time) because that's just what I enjoy more. Often when tickling I get so excited and carried away that I just go for it and to hell with restraint.

And besides, hard tickling of the ribs works WAY better than light tickling. Not that light tickling doesn't have its place, but tickle someone lightly on the ribs and watch them giggle and squirm. Then dig in to their ribs and watch them thrash and scream.

I have always been wary of light tickling based on all the really old clips I have seen, from Cal-Star and such, which pretty much always sucked because the tickling was so wishy-washy and lame.

Soft tickling can do wonders when lightly scraping ones nails along the right places. The sensation can be quite maddening if your fingers move all over and the element of suprise is added a little. Hard tickling can work but the ticklee will be out of commision with bruised ribs or inner thighs the next day. I think the hard tickling in videos is more for visual renforcement rather than a how to tickle aid.
