The ethic of a story featuring real characters

Happy New Year to y'all!

I've seen tons and tons of those celebrity stories plastered all across the story forum. There are even some people who made that a specialty of sorts. Nothing wrong with that but I was thinking: what about stories featuring our communities' models? What if I felt like writing a story where Priscilla James would have a secret life as a vigilante, fighting crime by night? Or if I wanted to write a love story between Little Dee and Tasha? Has anyone done that? Is it against some (un)written rule I am not aware of? Just curious.

While I have no doubt they exist they are few and far between.
I think its a neat idea that really could blossom into something really cool

Back in 2004 I wrote and posted a story that involved two real actresses, Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen. I included the following disclaimer at the beginning of the story:
This story has been written in honor of the 18th birthday of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. It is entirely a work of fiction and it in no way reflects the actions or beliefs of the actual Olsen sisters.

If you're clear it's fiction, then at least it's not hurting anyone and it's evident it's a form of love or admiration for whoever it is. Erotic fiction about world-famous celebrities is of course commonplace. That isn't a clear green light – the worst thing that could probably happen is that they'd find it awkward or uncomfortable to be featured like that if they became aware – which you could elude by substituting a generic identity, of course. But if they're active in this community already, they might just as easily be pleased or approachable enough to check with.

When I was 18, I have a male friend who wrote 3 tickling stories for me. 2 of them featured with me was Gene Simmons, the other all of KISS. *^_^* (Cuz I had a major crush on them then.) (And for those curious... he/they were the Lers lol) (I will post them some time lol)

But I mention this because what made it extra special was not only did he write these stories for me but he gave them to me in nice black folder binders for each different story. It was that extra touch that I found made the stories even more special. I thought they were so well written I wanted to send the stories to Gene. But of course I didn't. lol

It would basically be fan fiction...which is a very common and accepted type of online writing. I would make sure the person you're writing about is a public figure or "celebrity" (which I would consider tickle models to be, at least on this forum.) They chose to put themselves in the public eye, and unless you were making money from the stories (which would be illegal), I don't think it would be considered a violation of their privacy by law - provided you made it crystal clear that this is fan fiction.

That being said, be careful if you're writing about someone who *isn't* in the public eye...I could see some "everyday" people being really creeped out by having a fetish story written about them, especially if they aren't into tickling (or you, in that way lol). I had it happen to me once in the BDSM scene. This guy had been asking me to play (and I had politely refused, multiple times), and then he came to me with a story he wrote, that had my name in it as the sub and his name as the dominant character. I didn't make a big deal of it because I didn't want to hurt his feelings, but I was secretly annoyed that he was pushing himself on me after I told him NO so many times. I don't know, I'm kind of funny when it comes to privacy. It was only shared (I hope!) between us, but if he had posted it on a forum like ours, with my name on there...without asking my permission....I'd have been mighty pissed.

What you're describing, however, should be totally fine! I've been known to write fics about celebs I've drooled over in the past lol...Orlando Bloom never sued me 😉

Thank y'all for this string of very interesting responses!

:woman: :man:

The main difference between a fan fiction and this is that we are not talking about imaginary character or celebrities, we're talking about twenty-something girls who did some videos to pay for their (extraordinarily high in the US) tuition or as a side job. Some made a career out of it, but they are few. While one could argue that they are the celebrities of our little world (I hear you Klara), nevertheless I feel this is more akin to writing about your cute neighbor next door or your favorite colleague than for instance Natalie Portman or Gisele Bündchen, who live among the clouds.

Second, and that's probably the main reason why I have refrained to do this until now, is that we don't know them very well. With real celebrities, we can portray them fairly accurately with the amount of personal information we have on them. The IMDb, interviews, declarations form fellow professionals are all great sources for an actual depiction. On the other hand, I don't know Tasha, Kelli or Dee. I would hate to portray one of them as dumb or submissive if they are smart and dominant in real life. And more importantly they would hate that because even if the story is read by a few people, the image I have projected of them might stick.

Think about it this way guys; sometimes, I like to reverse the perspective when I reflect on such topics: imagine one of the girls here on the forum wrote a story about you (a male) and your best friend (also a male). Imagine she would portray you in a lustful homosexual relationship, and since she doesn't know you all that well, she got your personality completely screwed. You are portrayed as a cowardly sub, who begs for mercy five minutes after the tickling has started while actually you're the total opposite in real life (not to mention : you're into girls ^_^). Or what if the scenario imagined for "you" is really something you're not into? Or what if the situation "you" find "yourself" in is extremely humiliating? Wouldn't you feel a tad annoyed, especially once your "fans" start to PM you with a link towards the story, saying they'd love to tickle you too, while the person depicted therein is anything but you, except in physical appearance?

On the other hand, like pretty much every single one of you has mentioned so far, it still sounds like an interesting thing to dig into. Because of course, it's an homage. At the end of the day, it's because I :bubbleheart:love:bubbleheart: those girls that I would make them the main characters. I especially like the idea of going completely haywire, putting them into outrageous sci-fi or fantasy settings (Dee in space, Tara the Barbarian, Detective Tasha, etc...), but once again if it must be an annoyance to them, maybe I should abstain.

CapturedDoll, I am really not surprised by the fascination of this guy for you. You would make a great character in pretty much any setting. Since I saw you in that leather outfit I keep imagining you as the girlfriend of a Mad Max-style biker gang leader. You'd be the unattainable beauty, both loved and feared by the other members, who tortures prisoners as a hobby. But if I start to use the Forum members as main characters, I am sure the admins are gonna hit me like a ton of bricks.

:rules:

It was that extra touch that I found made the stories even more special. I thought they were so well written I wanted to send the stories to Gene. But of course I didn't. lol

I am sure those rock stars have gotten much weirder stuff than erotic fiction from their fans along the years 😀

That is a very interesting idea, but since these characters are real and are the members of forum it would be better to take their permission and add it is fictional.Otherwise people might think it is someway inspired out of reality though presented as a story. This is what i feel.
