The first beer your had

It was 1976 and I was 12 years old playing drums in a KISS cover band called "Black Diamond." The bass players older brother gave us a half rack of Coors and we all got our first drunk that night and then our first hangover the next mourning.

I must have been 3 when I first tasted beer. I saw a glass of it and thought it was apple juice. I was pissed.

I was 14 when I first got drunk, but it was Goldschlager, not beer.

Sometime between now and then I just forced myself to get used to the taste of beer. I mean, if all I drank were bitch drinks, I'd be broke every time I went to the bar. $4 pitchers of PBR are the way to go.

Funny you should mention King Cobra...besides tasting my dad's budweiser when I was 5 or 6, King Cobra was my first buzz from alcohol when I was about 13 in an alley outside of a local carnival with a few friends. When me and my friends were around that age there was a 20-something year old guy we called beer-man who would always buy us alcohol. Now that I think about it, that's kind of weird to be that much older and hang out with kids our age. He was pretty cool, though, never asked for anything except a six pack.

Do you remember your first beer?

Jeeeeez ... I dunno.

When I was a kid , I used to bug my dad a lot to let me have a sip or two of his beer. So ... I don't quite remember my first beer , but I'm guessing it was probably a Genny Cream Ale & I was most likely anywhere between the ages of eight & ten.

I couldn't even begin to tell you when my first full bottle of something was , though. Guess my memory isn't as good as a lot of other people's seem to be.
