Cool find, Jeff. I can think of a lot of good things that can come from this. I just hope they use it for necessity before they waste it on designer babies and stuff like that. Once again, I'm back to the want vs. need thing.

The thing about this is, with a genetic mutation like that, I can almost guarantee he's not going to live for very long. From my understanding, any genetic mutation will weaken the genes. It reminds me of Andre the Giant and the tallest man in the world, Robert Wadlow... something or other. People like this usually tend to die earlier.

Although this is true for the overwhelming majority of mutations, the exceptions are important. After all, practically the whole process of evolution consisted of exceptions to this rule.
