If the rumors are true, the PS3 is gonna kick the XBOX2's ass... The new PS is going to have a hard drive, while the new XBOX won't. Essentially, Sony is moving forward while Microsoft is backtracking. Another thing that Sony has shown is that it cares more about 3rd party support than just making massive profits. They drop the prices of their games faster than Microsoft, and despite the XBOX's superior specs, more PS2's have been sold than XBOXes. Still, when it comes to modded systems, I think the XBOX is the most useful and fun. However, with the new PS3 supposedly having a hard drive, modding it will likely be much more beneficial than doing so with the current PS2.

I'm interested in seeing what both consoles will look like. i have seen many many pictures and heard many rumors of what both the PS3 and Xbox 2 are gonna look like and what features they will both have in them come launch time.

I saw a documentary on the history of video games that sums up the x-box. Microsoft made it because they saw a threat to there online monopoly. I have an x-box and there aren't that many good games for it. Halo is good and I have both, but the huge hype machine is what that popular. The other one I can think of is the tom clancy games. All in all, I'd go with the PS. I just hope they added harddrive mentioned before means I won't have to get jipped on buying 60 dollars in memory cards.

Well, I think we're finally moving from "look how cool these graphics are!" to "look at how much stuff you can do !" . I don't know if graphics are gonna get any better after PS3, X-Box2 and other systems come out...by then they'll probably all be the same quality.

And now instead of just regular "levels" in games, some have worlds...or at least freakin huge cities (like in Spider-Man 2 or the GTA games).

I kinda wish Sega was still in the hardware business...I'd love to see them try the Sega VR again...just think how cool it'd be with the games that're out there now..like seeing Scorpion lauch his harpoon right at your neck.

And with that "sex suit" or whatever it is being made..if it can produce different sensations, we'll probably end up being able to FEEL things in the games(if game companies start using it for their stuff)..a little bit, anyway. (I dunno about you guys, but i wouldn't want to feel the full effect of some villan beating the crap outta me lol.)

I will definetly be buying the next playstation....I am also very interested in the nintendo "revolution" ..thats the codename....I hope nintendo can change thier ways and get back on top....but yea, PS3 for me, and if I had it my way SEGA would come out with another console and dominate the market. The Dreamcast deserved to succeed! Stupid people.

Yes... lame...

Though I have heard of a future game where you create your own species of creatures from single celled organisms, evolve them and create your own civilisation before travelling the Universe. If such games are in the making what little I have of a social life is dead and buried.
