I have been helping my alma mater raise money for scholarships for the last few years now. We have put on several different fundraisers on campus and around the town where the college is located. On Monday night we had a festival on campus where we had a silent auction and lots of carnival games. Students and community members bought tickets to play the games.
One of the stations was one of those sumo wrestling rings where people put on the big suits and bang into each other. I agreed to staff this station without realizing what a great setup it was. When the first two 20 year old women got in the suits to square off I realized that I had hit paydirt. They both kicked off their shoes and pulled on the stiff and awkwards suits. Soon after they started "wrestling," this smallish dark haired girl went down. I went over to help her up and she was already laughing like crazy from the situation. I realized that her tiny little foot with badly chipped nail polish was just begging to be tickled. So I did. She laughed even harder as I ticked her left foot. She could not move at all. There were about 20 people around so I didn't do it for too long.
When the other girl went down, I went to help her up along with the girl who was heloing me. My helper knew they girl (they were both students) and my helper tickled her foot. She screamed and managed to roll almost onto her side in her efforts to escape. It was a great night. I probably tickled 15 young ladies that night. There were three times that boyfriends crawled onto the mat to tickle their girls. Several guys were also tickled by my helper and other girls.
You must have a Sumo station at any carnival or festival that you put on. The next best is one of those velcro walls. I've never done it myself but I saw E.D. (Donahoe) Hill get tickled on her feet on one several years ago on Fox and Friends. I tried to get the tape from the network with no luck.
That's enough out of me tonight. I can assure you that this will be an annual event. Actually, I'm planning to do it again in the summer. There will be less socked feet then.
