Finally! The New York Jets have just about gone in with the city and state on a $1.4 Billion stadium on the West Side of Manhattan. It's even going to have one of those nifty Texans-style retractable roofs. That mean we could potentially have a Super Bowl in New York! Reliant Stadium got one in it's second year, so why not? Plus, it helps the city in it's bid for the 2012 Olympics. A Super Bowl I could actually go to...that would be neat.

As a fan of Gang Green, it's good to see them finally get a home to call thier own. Now if we could just convince New Jersey to offically take the Giants since they play there anyway...

A friend of mine was bemoaning the cost at a time when the state's in a fiscal crisis, but I'm thinking this...how much New York revenue has wound up in Jersey's coffers with two New York teams playing there over the last few decades? Two seasons and you pay that back. And if you land the Olympics? Cha-Ching! Besides, this is New York, we're always in a fiscal crisis! We just cowboy up and deal with it, not like those pussies out in California...whine, bitch, complain...."My Evian is getting taxed"..."I can't afford my immigrant gardener anymore"..."Gas for my Rolls is so high..." Why don't they just - - - -

Dave2112 Industries apologizes for the above commentary. The views and opinions of Dave2112 are not those of we here at Dave2112 Industries. In unity with the people of America, we at Dave2112 Industries share in the plight of Californianites in thier time of fiscal need. Dave2112 will be taking company-requested "vacation time" for the next 48-72 hours in order to reconnect with his "happy place". We here at Dave2112 Industries wish him the best of luck!

Dave, your disclaimer is too funny....I am all for NY teams coming back to where they belong. humm...you really don't hear much about old George moving the Yankees these day..

By any chance is Dave2112 Industries hiring?? What are the benefits like? I hear there is a good football pool? hehe

It still surprises me that the Eagles didn't build a domed stadium but oh well.
Should be interesting seeing a NEW structure rising from Manhatten!!!
