The reason I start this thread is two reasons...

1. For those who watch TNA Impact! does Kevin Nash look horrible or is it just me? His hair is seriously grey and to remember Kevin Nash of the past, he looked cool, 7'1, a straight powerhouse. Now to see him he just looks old and brokendown. He lumbers down to the ring instead of taking his normal Big Daddy Cool strides. Like I said maybe it's just me.

2. He's 49 now and on TV he says he's got plenty of Diesel fuel left in the tank (kinda cool to say) but the last time he was on TV he was talking about retiring. My question is this to the wrestling population here, shouild he just call it a career or if he's still got something left in the tank (which it does look like) should he keep going until he's ready to call it a career?

It's certainly sad to see such an icon like Big Daddy Cool grow old. I remember watching Diesel v. Shawn Michaels many a year ago (IMHO a match for the ages). I think it's a matter of head vs. heart. As much of an icon that he is, I think it would benefit him to go out sooner rather than later and not create a "hulk hogan" complex (being too old to wrestle and winning matches using charisma alone). It's also a bitter pill to swallow knowing that there is no more Goldberg, Rocky, Steve Austin, DX, or NWO. If he retired now, he would go out on top and could walk into the wrestling hall of fame on his own power, not in a wheelchair.

Kevin Nash 4 Life!

Growing old is a sad fact of all our lives. I can't make the call of whether or not to retire because I'm not Nash and I don't know how he feels physically. I do know, however, that he hasn't been the healthiest wrestler in recent years. Personally, I think he'd make a great full-time commentator. Maybe even manager of a younger wrestler. He certainly has the charisma for both. That way he doesn't need to put the wear and tear on his body. Whatever he decides, I hope it's the best thing for him.

Well, for TNA's sake I hope he doesn't retire, as he is by far the best mic-man they have. His tirades about how he invented pretty much every wrestlingmove known to man is funny as hell.

When Nash was WWF champion it was the first time WCW beat them in the raitings (they would do so again when Shawn won the big belt a few years later), I hope he retires soon, he is worse in the ring then he was when he was good, and he sucked when he was good. He would make a good third man at the comintatores table though.

I'll give you that he was never a good in-ring technician, but I never saw anything wrong with his charisma. He's still awesome with a mic in his hand. All in my opinion, of course.

Nash is also the genius who ruined Goldberg's title run in WCW. Nash was booking the show at the time and, in his infinite wisdom, decided that they should kill the title run of the hottest wrestler in the organization at the time. All the buildup they did for Goldberg...the undefeated streak...the crowd going nuts for him EVERY SINGLE SHOW....his victory over Hollywood Hulk Hogan for the title... destroyed when Nash booked himself to win...even worse, it involved outside interference by Scott Hall and a cattle prod.

And in the end, what happened? Three days later Nash loses the belt to Hogan in the infamous "fingerpoke of doom" match.

Meh.

Did you use the term In-Ring Technician, and Nash in the same line? Hold on because I think I wet myself from laughing so hard. I do agree he can talk pretty decent, thats why I said he should step down from the ring and put on a head set.

Blasphemy! That series of events was EPIC! 😀

Finger Poke of Doom FTW!

I never said he was. Nash basically lumbered around the ring and threw his weight around. That is all. Good night and the end. I also mentioned he should put on a head set.

Personally, I think he looks like Kenny Rogers now.. It cracks me up.

Great now everytime I see him on TNA, I'm going to hear "The Gambler" playing instead of his ring music.

Look no one is saying that Kevin Nash was a great technical wrestler, I'm sure the guy never knew or didn't want to know the difference between (and forgive me for saying this) a wrist-lock and a wrist-watch (WAIT! COME BACK! I HAVE A POINT!)

Nash was a seven foot tall, bad ass brawler, and for people like me who were fans and still to some aspect still fans, we loved, or at least I did, watching him go down and just fight somebody, he wasn't going to win awards for his matches but I don't think he cared. The guy just wanted to be in the ring doing something he loved.

Right now he just dosen't look like himself, I know he old and has no knees pretty much but to me it's just hard to see him like this.

Jeez, you know, he does look like Kenny Rogers a bit. I find both sad and funny ways of looking at that. p

He was broken down when the nWo came to the WWE. He should've retired a long time ago.
