The Last Laugh: downloadable clips are finally available

Hello everyone!

It is with great pleasure that I can finally announce the official opening of The Last Laugh’s downloadable clip stores, hosted by Clips4sale.com. I have two such stores, one for tickling material and one for foot material. They can be accessed through my main website (www.thelastlaughinc.com), or directly by using the following links:

Currently, only a few of my videos are available in downloadable clip format, each split into several shorter clips lasting between 2 and 10 minutes each, typically in the 5-8 minute range (I currently have no plans to offer full-length clips, which would be too huge for my tastes). The currently available titles are Last Laugh Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Omicron, Pi and Rho, as well as Last Laugh Feet 1 and 4. Over time I’ll convert the rest of my back catalog, as well as new releases.

While each clip is accompanied by a short description and a few pictures, it’s best to check out the videos in my website’s catalog to learn more about them. I’m afraid I can’t offer a specific preview for each individual downloadable clip. However, since most of the clips are taken from my videos (DVD/VHS), the corresponding preview clips, sample pictures and descriptions should give you a good idea what to expect.

My clips are all WMV files, with a 480x360 screen size. They’re not quite as big as the impressive 640x480 clips that several producers offer, but I think they’re big enough, and they actually look a bit nicer than my 640x480 experiments. A smaller size also allows for decent quality at a reasonable bitrate. The clips are about 6.5MB per minute, which should be low enough for more computers to play just fine. All in all, I think my clips are a good compromise of screen size, file size and picture quality.

If you want to learn more about my clips, including what to do if you run into any problems, I recommend that you start by reading the text found in the clip store section of my website. Simply press the “Clip stores (tickling/feet)” button at the top of any page of my website and you’ll be there. That’s also where you can access the actual stores through my website.

By the way, just to be clear, I’m still selling DVD versions of my work, as usual. I know several people prefer that format. After all, the picture quality is significantly better than a clip can possibly be. Not to mention the screen size. My videos are also still available on VHS, though I’m likely to drop that format sometime in the future.

In finishing, I’d like to say that this whole clip store thing is a very new experience for me. It’s kind of exciting, but also a bit nerve-wracking. It seems to be going pretty well so far, but I don’t expect everything to be perfect at first. I still have a lot to learn. To help me improve my stores and my clips, please don’t hesitate to contact me about any questions, comments or suggestions you may have. Same thing if you have problems with the clips, although it’s best to contact Clips4sale.com directly if you have problems with purchasing and/or downloading the clips, as there’s very little I can do to help in those departments. I only create and upload the clips.

Thanks, it's always nice to hear. Yeah, I did put a lot of work into creating my first batch of clips and getting the stores started. I'm sure it was the same for many of the other producers who also sell clips. Now I know some of the obstacles they may have run into.

I was pretty nervous about the whole thing for a while. But now that I'm more used to the process and more confident about people's interest in my clips (which appear to be selling reasonably well), I can relax a bit and work on converting more videos without worrying too much. I mean, if the clips are selling, and several customers are buying more than once, I can only assume it means the clips are ok enough. Very reassuring.

When working on adding your other vids, could you give priority to Delta? I'd love to see that one too.

Funny that you ask, because I just finished creating a first batch of Delta clips. I should add them to my store very soon. I just have a few last formalities to take care of, like the clips' descriptions and pictures. I'll add a second batch of Delta clips some time later.

I think my next move will be to convert the rest of my foot videos to clips. I only have four foot videos available so far (but with more to come), and two of them are in clip form now. I might as well convert the last two before going back to the tickling videos. It shouldn't take too long.
