These were all put into the Disney films as a joke from Sheridan college. Disney always used to hire artists and animators from Sheridan college. As an unofficial tradition, Sheridan students who did get hired by Disney put this stuff into the films.

Supposedly, The Rescuers was the first film in which this happened and The Hunchback of Notre Dame was the last. After that, Disney found the artists responsible, fired them, and refused to hire students from Sheridan ever again.
