I was just wondering how many people on here were 'born' I suppose you could say with a tickling fetish. Bascially what I mean is not really born but you have liked tickling for as long as you can remember, and also how many people on here believe they have developed the fetish over time. For me I definitely believe I had this love of tickling my whole life. I can remember being a youngin, lol and wanting to tickle people and be tickled all the times, I even thought up a little game a played with one of my friends when I was about probably 9/10/11 around that age. What the game was, was she has a set of bunkbeds in her room and what we would do was take turns laying on the top, and we would stick our feet down the one side of the top bunk because the beds were against the wall, and so when you put you foot down through there you would be trapped, and we would take turn tickling each other until the person being tickling couldn't take it anymore and gave up. Ah, the good ol' days, lol, but anyway as for the original question, who believes they were 'born' so to speak with this fetish or who believes they developed it over time?

Born, definitely!!! My cousins used to tickle us "little kids" all the time! my brother hated it, but I would tease them just to get them to take their revenge on me again. That bunk bed game would've been really fun to play with friends. 😛oke3:

I'm pretty sure that I was born with it. If not, it must have somehow developed prior to my earliest memories...

I'd have to be honest and say I've developed it. But it also developed around the same time I realised I was bi. And I regret nothing! hehehe I love tickling & I love feet!

Everyone thinks they were born with it, if they can't remember a time they didn't have it. But few people remember anything before the age of 3 anyway, so how would they know they didn't develop it during this period? Especially since
a) that's our most developmental period

To answer your question, I believe that I was born with this fetish because my father has it also! Therefore, I believe that it probably is genetic.

I realized it in 2nd grade after watching an episode of the Flintstones Kids (or whatever it was called). Young Fred and Barney had been captured by someone, and given to two octopi who held them with four tentacles and tickled them silly with the other four, I suppose until little Wilma and Betty came to rescue them. Even at that age there was something extremely enticing about being in that position, and I've been a 'lee ever since.
On a more serious note, vis a vis the legal discussion about child characters in tickling scenarios, it's still hard for me to tell whether a description like mine above, or of the original one quoted below, crosses some kind of objective line. Maybe this should be part of a different thread.

According to most psychotherapists, fetishism, such as tickling is an innate part of the psychosexual makeup of an individual. It is not a developmental, or learned behavior or desire, although, it does sometimes require some sort of catalyst to bring it to the forefront of a persons psyche.
People who believe they were born with it, appear to be correct. Although most psychologists and psychiatrists cannot define the nature of fetishism or its origin, there is overwhelming evidence to substantiate the claim that fetishistic desires or predeterminations to fetishism are inherent, probably at birth, much the same way that sexual identity is. Also, it is widely agreed upon that the fetish will, in all likely hood, be a life-long part of sexual desire.
In some cases, and with some people who do not claim to have had any proclivity to tickling prior to puberty or even later, may have been among the rare cases of people who simply didn't find their catalyst until one fateful tickle fight, or being witness to that monumental tickle episode that would change their lives forever.
During my own research, I've developed an opinion that tickling, in some cases, is NOT the catalyst for a tickling fetish, but that some other loosely related sexual fixation may have actually opened the door to what is now a tickling fetish. I am my own example in this case. Since I was a child, I've always known that I had a tickling fetish, but my fetish was centered almost exclusively around foot tickling. I can remember as early as age 3 running my own fingertips down my soles to get the tickling sensation..Also,I had tickling fights with my older brother,sister at young age 😀

I loved being tickled as a child already. As much as I must have been born with this love of feeling helpless. I remember when we played around as kids and one of my little friends locked me up in a closet, I loved this feeling. Also I remember one incident in kindergarden, when we played in the garden one afternoon and a bunch of kids had a little boy wrapped up in a blanket and tied him and then they rolled him down a little hill. all I wanted was them doing the same thing to me.

honestly i have no idea..probably born with it..i did start fantasizing about being tickled around eight..i have no clue if my parents were ticklish or into tickling..never did it around me..and my sister might be ticklish, in fact i do believe she is..but we have never discussed it..
