Well worth the box office price. Just as dark as the first one, but not as creepy, if you can distinguish betwixt the two adjectives. Still, there were enough jump-in-your-seat (a.k.a. crap-yo-pants) scenes that made the film delightful to watch...even though I hiding during most of those moments.

Naomi Watts is a winner in the acting biz, no doubt there. And her ensemble does a terrific job, too.

Yep, this film definitely garners "Two feathers up". Go and see it while you can.

Btw, my mom has a friend named Humara. Coincidence? I think not...

Ch-ch-cheers. :shake:

two thumbs up eh?

I've heard tons of mix reviews on this movie. some said that they liked it and that it had the same scares as the first one did if not more. and others are saying that it's not worth it at all? yet it makes the number one spot at the box office last week (and proble this week as well if i'm not mistaken)

watch Ringu Moses 😉 it's out on dvd and to rent

I've watched it. Actually, I own it.

Nice to have another horrorhead to confer with on this board.

Cheers.😀

oh, well then is it any good? (since i have never seen it actually to be honest hehe)

I've heard it's supposed to be the number one best selling horror dvd in Japen it's that popular

It's amazing. The director, as you will see in Ring 2 and the upcoming Dark Water, has a preoccupation with H2O.

That, and large eyes.

Cheers.😀

I've seen both The Ring and Ringu....and it's honestly a matter of opinion and personal taste as to which you'll like better. Ringu is more pure, more raw...less on the effects and more on the enviroment and elements. The Ring is americanized with special effects and music and little additions to the storyline to try to make it more creepy.

If you prefer tradition raw horror, chances are you'll like Ringu better. If you like the glitz and glam and theatrical presentation, you'll probably like The Ring better.

I'm all about the eye candy, so I liked The Ring better. But that's not to say that Ringu is without it's charms.

Well the Ring 2 in my opinion was great like Moses said. I loved the end scene in the well and how it explained a lot of the content of the videotape. However did anyone get that new special edition of the original Ring on DVD? What makes it so special? Is it worth getting?
