Isn't it amusing...

...to listen to the educated opinions of the armchair Field Marshalls who have no idea WHAT the burdens of decision for these people were like, SIXTY frickin' years afterwards? Here's a nickel's worth of free advice--until you've lived it, don't try to judge someone else for it. Easy for those who weren't there to bitch about the consequences of decisions made by others, with the benefit of six decades of hindsight and modern learning. I suppose the self-righteous scholars here would've done it SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better, in the same positions and situations.

.....stating the totally bleeding obvious is a much underated skill.Dan seems to have cornered the market.

In addition to all the stupid things he did in ww2, prior to this when he was home secretary I believe it was about 1910 ish he broke up striking Welsh Coal Miners by.............. Water cannons?....No
Tear Gas..............No. In fact he had a battalion of riflemen go down there and open fire into the striking crowd. What a grade-a arse hole

I suggest............

...all you anti Churchill folks read Joy Jenkins exellent biography, Churchill was recently voted "Greatest Briton of all time" by the British nation and a good choice too. Given some of the clowns you Americans vote in to office it seems a bit rich you having a go a Churchill. At least he kept his dick in his trousers and could string a sentance together, I guess that rules out most of your Presidents as credible rivals.

I don't think Churchill was a clown Indy, just that he was as amoral as any other politician who was ever permitted to serve in high public office.
