The Office won't be the same without Steve Carell

The Office got lame after Ricky Gervais stopped doing it, and they created your tamed-down American version.

I don't know when Gervais stopped writing the episodes, but I think the series has been consistently strong since the beginning

Oh don't get me wrong - it's a good show regardless but Gervais was made for that part. Once they started rewriting scripts so it was more suitable for a US audience the show was still good - but it's like Steve Carell is a kitten pretending to be a tiger.
