in all my experiences of tickle torturing i never once ever found the belly button to be even near the top of the most ticklish parts of the abdomen,

I know it can be a very tempting spot for a lot of ticklers especially if they have a belly button fixation or even a fetish for it but i tried every which way to tickle loads of them and yes they are ticklish but no way near as bad as other places around there like where the tummy dips in including hip hollows etc.

I know this is just my own experiences btw so no offense to anyone and i know some ppl will say its their worst spot however even the ones I tickled who thought it would be the most ticklish it wasnt

i did notice a few times an instant shock when I went there but I thought at the time and still now that the shock came from the expectation it would be way more ticklish then it actually was
 
I think it varies lol bc I’ve sessioned with lees where their navel is their worst spot/erogenous zone. A few didn’t know their bellybutton was so bad until it was tickled. So I can’t say it’s overestimated based on my experiences.

It can also really depend on the ler and techniques used; I've had a lot of lers insist a spot isn't ticklish despite all they've done is just flail fingers around. Like... no, rapidly slapping my navel with a rough finger isn't doing anything for me.

And sometimes every session with the same lee is different. 😂

It's interesting to see what leads ticklers to develop an absolute when it comes to tickling. My curiosity is also piqued when lers follow a formulaic or standard approach to tickling based upon their various experiences or what they notice in the many videos that they have "studied".

Sometimes its the who, how, why, when, and with WHAT (much as I hate tools) that unlocks those sweet spots on a person. What one person cannot do, sometimes the next person will do. This is for all spots everywhere, of course. BUT- it could also apply to no spots anywhere depending on the ever changeable ticklee.

Specifically, belly buttons are one of those interesting spots. I may tickle someone there and it does absolutely nothing. And someone else can tickle that same belly button and WOW! TICKLISH DEVASTATION!

I kinda dig it, though! I love the differences of one lee to the next. I love how sometimes a person's mood will impact their ticklishness. I love how a number of ticklers can search every corner of your ticklish body and 20, 30, 40 years into the tickle scene, a different tickler can unlock something about you that you never knew even existed!

Goodness! 25 years ago, I thought the feather was overrated, and there was NO WAY a person could unravel the sanity of any ticklish body from a simple, repeated stroke of a feather. Those ticklees HAD to be faking. Terorizer and I even debated about it. Ask me now what I think. 😉

Over the last few decades I've tickled several belly buttons both male and female. Some were ticklish there and the rest didn't have a reaction I was hoping for other than them saying it felt good. Mine isn't ticklish at all but around it is.
 
BB tickling is often portrayed as poking or feathering. Meh, perhaps some are highly ticklish to that but not likely most. Perhaps once a Lee has been broken in a bit being tickled elsewhere, something that vibrates like an electric toothbrush might have more impact for a bit.

Now, wiggling fingers hitting the area between the belly button and bikini line? Gets most people good.

My BB is 100% hard limit DO NOT TOUCH zone for reasons that have nothing to do with tickling. Extreme pain.
Even if not for that, between the belly button and chest, isn't sensitive for me. Sides and ribs are a different story.
 
Yeah mines not ticklish, neither is my tummy much really, but given I mainly ler I have tickled one person who has a very ticklish navel, but she always describes it as like a awkward weird ticklish sensation, I never quite understood it, but she did giggle a lot when I worked around it
 
My bellybutton is not very ticklish, but that can change quickly if you tickle it along with the very ticklish skin, nerves, and love handles around it.

I've even had raspberries blown that made it feel like maybe it was little ticklish, but the tormenting storm of eruptions that went all around the hidden gem of a bellybutton were so encompassing that I didn't stop to really consider it.

Gotta love a great looking button though.
It owns a very prestigious bit of real estate on our twitchy bodies..😉

Totally agree with this. I've been tickled many times on my belly button, but it always seemed to just feel weird there and not ticklish. Then, out of nowhere, a more recent ler tickled me there and it tickled like crazy. Nothing seems different in their approach to me, yet it tickles!. Tickling is so dynamic...That's the fun part!
 
I do agree with the overestimating thing. While I'm not denying that some people actually do have a sensitive navel, I can't disagree with the fact that many ticklers get overly excited about tickling their lee's belly button and wind up disappointed that things did not go the way they had imagined afterwards. As for my own experience, my belly button is very ticklish at the first touch but the longer it's teased, the less ticklish it becomes. Can't say the same about the area just around it though, that part of my tummy is always hellishly sensitive 🤣

I mean, if someone is really ticklish on a spot they don't need to do some masterful tickling technique to tickle it, the touch itself should be enough otherwise it's very low on the ticklish level.

Anyway, there's plenty of people with very ticklish belly buttons but a lot of people assume that if someone has a ticklish tummy then their belly button must be even worse. That's true in some cases but don't get too disappointed if their tummy ends up being more ticklish or it's just equally ticklish, those are just as possible as the belly button being more ticklish.

how many times have u found a persons belly button is more ticklish then their actual tummy?
 
I never see the belly button as very ticklish.

It DOES seem that it's a spot of stimulation, though. Kissing around it, licking it, playing with it, it does cause a reaction, just never a ticklish one. At least, in MY experience. It is a fun area to gently caress during cuddles, though. lol
 
Nobody's ever tickled my belly button but I can't imagine it's anywhere near as frantically sensitive as the soft curves, swells, and hollows of its surrounding landscape.
 
I've noticed this. My two fixations are tickling and belly buttons, and unfortunately it seems more often than not that the belly button just doesn't typically respond to direct stimulation. Maybe it has something to do with it technically being a scar.

As others have said, though, the areas around it almost always make up for any lack of response.

It's not rare for a belly button to be ticklish, I've witnessed plenty of very ticklish belly buttons. It just shouldn't always be expected that a person's belly button will definitely be ticklish.
