On Sunday (October 20th), the Dodgers advanced to the World Series by beating the NY Mets 10-5 in Game 6 of the NLCS.

Many baseball columnists and broadcasters are overthinking why this happened.

My analysis is quite simple and depends on only two numbers:

In the six games, the Dodger hitters received 42 walks from Mets pitchers.
In the six games, the Mets hitters left 52 runners on base.

It is fitting, given how much of a Dodger fanatic I am, that this bragging post is also my 600,000th post.
