The Slayers vs. Cowboy Bebop v.s Neon Genesis Evangelion

Ok, after the success of my last poll, I felt it was time for another. Not expecting a non-anime series to win (thats chance and fate for you), I create this one where there MUST be an anime winner.

The choices are derived of the top three series that were voted for last time. Those are- The Slayers, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Cowboy Bebop.

You know how it goes. Vote, and if you can, post the how, what, when, where, and whys of your voting decision as it pertains to the winning series and what will be drawn up for it.

Note: While anonymous votes are appriciated, supported votes have more weight with me. So if you want the series to win, you ought to support it with a post and hope and/or get others to vote for it as well. Note, that in the event of a tie, the winner will be decided based upon which one got the most feedback and posts.

Pretty simple and straight-forward.

Will Evangelion and the Eva girls dominate the poll as they did last time, or will Line Inverse and co. of The Slayers best them?

Or, will Cowboy Bebop, led by the charming, foxy vixen Faye Valentine and the lovable and sophisticated Ed surprize us all with a win?

I voted for Slayers, again. The reason? Of the three choices, its the series I have not drawn from yet. If anyone thinks my vote is unfair, you can say so. I can always have it stricken from the record, or pretend that it doesn't count if it concerns anyone.

You could always just draw Slayers if that's what you really want to draw. Either way, it'll prob turn out great. (besides, I have no idea what any of these shows are, so don't listen to me 😎 )

@ everyone- Its a surprize Evangelion only has one vote. Last time it dominated until more people supported 'other'. I wonder what changed your mind this time. Curious.

Also, for those that have posted already and those that will come to post, let me remind you again, to please give reasons to your reply other than you voted for it (if you choose to reply). It would be of great help to me if I could get an idea for what you want this picture(s) to look like and contain. Its better to ask now than later, because later there will probably be more split votes and I'll have to be asking everyone that voted for this. Because I don't really want to have to do it.

So if you can, please post at least once more so I can know what you're thinking. Its not manditory, but it is appriciated. And as long as a couple or a few people give me some ideas of theirs, then it won't be necessary for you to reply with ideas, though you still can and probably should. Especially if the others haven't mentioned something that you would like to see yet. Thank you kindly. ^^

Well, if you haven't seen the series I imagine it'll be hard to really explain a scenario this early on. I'd like to see some tickling pieces though if possible.

Go Cowboy Bebop! I want to see Faye or Ed foot tickled. I don't even know what Slayers is about, it looks kind of stupid to me, truth be told, but seems to be really popular. Oh well, anything but Love Hina and I'm happy 🙂

@ FF7tickler- While that is true, you can still give me general ideas and tell me about the characters in short. Just by looking at them I can already tell things about their character.

@ DuBobO- Actually, I have drawn Ed ticked before, and I even have an unfinished Faye tickle pic, wherein Ed is foot tickling Faye. I had intended to CG it, but I may just do otherwise.

As for Love Hina, I'll give you that. Although if I do remember correctly, you didn't like it period, not because I drew it. I am addicted to it, and I really can't put my finger on any single thing and say thats why I love it so much. I just do, for all the right reasons.

Granted though, I have drawn more of this than anything else lately. But then again, these poll are different and so different things may be drawn. Its all good. LOL ^^

@ tickledorange- Ok then. I wasn't sure what you meant by that.

@ DuBobO- Maybe you will see it, if I get around to finishing it up. But that would take some coaxing. The picture itself is already getting older, and I rarely have the desire to go back and finish aging pics. Maybe I'll get to it, or just draw it over again, so it feels new and it gives me some momentum to work with.

As for Love Hina, I'm sorry you feel that way. But for someone that doesn't seem to know anything about it, I don't understand why you feel that way. To each his own. And the turtle's name is Tama. 🙂

Well you haven't concluded the poll yet have you? If the Slayers wins I'll happily offer my thoughts upon material. However, I'll wait for the word of victory.

I, for one, would love to see Ed getting her feet tickled (maybe by Ein or Faye) or maybe Faye instead. But if it's Slayers instead, hey, I don't mind. I'd love to see Miss Inverse getting tickled!

@ Larcen Tyler- I've already drawn Ed being tickled, though perhaps you haven't seen it. Unless you have and you just want more. Its always people wanting more. More more more. 😛

Bump. Reason? Someone (you know who you are) is posting in dead threads or threads which have reached the bottom of the page, or the second or third. This obviously bumps newer threads, including this one, down, and in this case, to the second page.

As this is a poll that is not yet concluded and I want some attention focused on it for obvious reasons, thats the reason for the bump.

Now did I NEED to give a reason? No. But I guess thats just good manners for you.

My vote goes to Rei and Asuka from Neon Genesis Evangelion.
I'm thinking of a beach theme.
Both females are buried in the sand withh only their head and feet sticking out.
Shinji and his dad seem to have found some seagull-feathers and are tickling their bare feet with them.
I can see Shinji getting some revenge on Asuka.
You can even say it's sort of a father-son bonding.

Actually, thats a very, very good idea. I may just draw that whether Evangelion wins this poll or not, its such a good idea. And I like the way you discribed it. It really gives me something to work with.

Anyways, I'm off for tonight. While it is the weekend and I don't have work tomorrow, I did stay up late. But that means I can sleep in! Yay for sleeping in! Its something I used to take for granted. ^^

Only if done in that "Alternate World" described in the last episodes, 25 or 26 would that work. But then again Kensuke has a thing for Asuka in that.. ^^;

@ asrial- You're welcome. I'm not saying others haven't given me good ideas, but that one is definitely one of those rare ones that is exceptionally good. While it may not seem like much, it is these characters, and it is ME drawing them, so its something different, unlike anyone has ever seem before. Putting Gendo in there though makes things interesting.


@ FF7tickler- Yes, thats true. And actually, I'm already working on the storyboards for my own Evangelion 'alternative universe' parody. I've got one for Asuka already done, one for Maya, and I'm working on one for Yui and Gendo.

I was meaning for these to be actual be presented in panels, just like a manga. We'll see how that pans out.

Maybe not a full-fledged manga, as I want to reserve most of my creative energies on the manga I'm already making, but these parodys I draw would benefit well from being in manga form, I think.
