hey folks,

I ran across the following on a site devoted to the Avengers. Forgive me if this is common knowledge but I don't recall anyone ever posting it.

From this site:

"Where oh where is the 'Tara Tickle Torture' scene?" For those fans frantically trying to locate a scene in which Tara is tickled with feathers in order to obtain information, you can cool your jets--it wasn't edited out of the video because it never existed in the first place. Everyone still talks about it as though it was a long lost scene only because of Dave Rogers' books--his synopses are based on shooting scripts, studio memos and press releases, which can sometimes be far removed from what makes it onto the screen. In this case, the Tara Tickle Torture scene became a water torture (see frame grab) and then, later, the original tables were turned--on Sidney Street, as Tara tickles him.

so all of your mainstream nuts still looking for this so-called lost episode, you can finally consider the matter closed.

i posted that it never actually existed in a thread about a month ago where some guy asked for it. i thought pretty much everyone already knew the story was apocryphal. hopefully your post will clear it up for the newer people....until a fresh batch of newbies comes along that is.

😀 The scene would have been a classic if it had existed. 😀

I freely admit...

...that I've never SEEN the clip from this episode, but back when I first got online (circa 1999 or 2000 back when it was AOL version 1.0), I actually had a WAV file of this scene. You can clearly hear Steed's voice, and he's obviously got the upper hand in the situation, and you hear the lady's helpless laughter, which actually sounds genuine, perhaps explaining why this elusive mainstream sighting is so highly sought, after like a photo of Sasquatch. I wish I still HAD the file, so I could post it here. 🙁 :sadcry:

dan, you may be talking about the scene where steed tickles emmas foot with a feather...that scene does actually exist. the scene in question here is emma being tickled by some midgets while strapped to a table. that scene does not exist.

I can't argue either for or against...

...I only remember what it sounded like. Steed says to whomever he's tickling, "Now, my dear, you are going to TALK", and you hear what is inarguably ticklish laughter. I must admit, though, that if this scene DID exist, it would've surfaced LONG ago, knowing the tenacity and resourcefulness of the members of this community. But I heard what I heard. DAMMIT, but I wished I still had that sucker! Ah well... that was two computers ago. :sowrong:

dan, that is the clip i mentioned. i have that one on my computer. i may be able to email it to you if its small enough. ill have to look when i get home friday.

I told Mrskansas that she should keep her name and used Emma as a
reference... Now I find myself imagining Mrs. in a hot leather body
suit ...stripping her boot from her pretty foot...I think I'll use
an eagle's feather... :firedevil :firedevil :firedevil

The scene you're referring to is the one where Steed has caught a female evil-doer. He puts her over his lap and proceeds to give her a good rib-tickling. It is a very nice scene.

It is a shame that the tickling episode with Tara King doesn't exist. Who knows, maybe she was just too ticklish to go through with the scene.

youre right juggler, that is the clip. i could have sworn i have a clip of emma tickled too by him...ill have to look tonight.

The episode in which Steed tickles a woman to get her to talk is "How to Succeed ... At Murder" first broadcast March 19, 1966, the last season that the show was in black and white.

The episode in which Steed tickles Emma's bare foot with a feather is "The Fear Merchants" first broadcast January 21, 1967, the first season that the show was in color.

Also of note: There is an episode with no ticklking, but in which Emma has a mold made of her bare feet by a shoe salesman with quite an extreme foot fetish. It is "Quick-Quick Slow Death" first broadcast February 5, 1966.

is NOT indicative of any scene in that episode. No such scene is in any episode.
