My daily desktop calendar had on it the top 10 television shows in the U.S 35 years ago (1980-1981):

1. Dallas
2. The Dukes of Hazzard
3. 60 Minutes
4. M*A*S*H
5. The Love Boat
6. The Jeffersons
7. Alice
8. House Calls
9. Three's Company
10. Little House on the Prairie

I just thought it would be nice to share this on here. Look forward to your replies :rainbowbounce:.

I remember this.

I was a big Dallas fan.

As you probably know, Jenn, 35 years ago was the summer after the whole "Who Shot JR" frenzy.

Dallas hit number one right after that, and stayed there for several years.

I was 30 years old that season. I remember those shows, although I didn't watch them all.
IMHO, there were only two worth watching: M*A*S*H and Three's Company.

My favorites shows on that list are Three's Company, 60 Minutes, The Jeffersons, & Little House on the Prairie.

I used to love the Dukes of Hazard as a kid..

It never gets shown over hear these days, I'm guessing it has to do with that naughty flag..

It's a shame as it was a cracking show of its time

Three's Company. Liked Jack and Larry. Loved Chrissy and Janet. Liked the Ropers. Hated Mr. Furley. Hated the theme song. The whole show seemed kind of low budget.

I would have been around 12 or 13. I always watched Dukes and the Hulk, still today I can't call him Bruce Banner..His name is David and he looks like Bill Bixby.

If I remember correctly, there was a writers' strike in the fall of 1981, which delayed that seasons' new episodes, so we didn't really find out who shot JR until about Halloween of that year.

I was also a big Three's Company and Dukes fan, HUGE MASH fan. 35 years ago?!, makes me feel old.

As far as the "who shot JR", it was the end of season cliff-hanger. The writers didn't even want the actors to know who shot JR. So, they filmed each character doing the shot, including JR himself....it was hilarious (this was shown on a later story about the episode).
