about 4 monthes ago Kane Buried his brother the Undertaker alive, You people are all waiting for nothing... The Undertaker will not show up at Wrestlemania XX. You will soon see that it's not Taker playing these mind games with Kane but someone else, Shane maby? You have to face it Kane won the long fought war with his brother at SS 03. And he is not comming back simply because.... HES DEAD! DEAD! DEAD!

15 matches
5 hours
Im going to have my game boy advance charged up and ready for me to play

The card looks good But it will be 14 matches cuz there will no resurrection...

Oh, he'll be there. He's contracted for one last match (which he'll win: 'Taker has never lost a *single* match at WrestelMania, it's apparantly part of his long-term contract), and that last will be the 'Taker coming back as the Phenom, which will be ace, but alas, there'll be no Paul Bearer, owing to his monumental drug-problem. It's what you get for ressurecting the dead, you see...

On a side note...Cripple H, Show-Stealer Shane and "I'm listening Good" Benoit: A main event made in Hell (in a Cell. Probably).

😀 "Cripple H"! LOL!

*That's not true! That's impossible* insert Mark Hamill over acting here.

The 'biker' undertaker never worked for me. Bonnnnnnnnnnnnnng, bonnnnnnnnnng,
fog, darkness....now THAT'S the dead man!
As for Paul Bearer, the problem with him coming back is that he burned a mighty big bridge by slamming the WWE and Vince when he left. There are rumors, though, that he's patched things up and may come back with the 'taker.

The Sean Man

I hope so, it just won't be the same without old Bearer rising that urn...and yeah, the "All American Bad-Ass" was almost as big a disaster as "Hollywood Hogan" (shudders)...thank god we're getting the Phenom back, one last time...

Oh, btw, post below with a "HUH!?! HOLLER if you HEAR ME!" if you think that Batista should be put to death by mildly angry chickens, Cripple H (it's catchy, isn't it?) should be rebuilt with a budget of 64 million dollars at his command so he can actualy wrestle again, and Rick Flair should finaly, please God make it so, be put into a care home.

Wooo!!!

Actually, I'm liking Evolution more and more. Sure, nothing will ever match the horsemen, but times change. And speaking of which, boy, it must suck when the injuries and stuff catch up with you and the crowd isn't quite as into you as they used to be. Seeing how the wrestlers now will do anything behind the scenes to protect their meal ticket.....some guys just don't know when to let go.

The Sean Man

P.S- I remember watching the survivor series PPV wayyyyyyyyyyyy back when Ted Dibiase brought in the mystery man on his team....Kane the Undertaker, led by Brother Love. Yup, that's right...he had a first name once.

I look forward to WRestlemaina 20, but i think we could all agree this isnt the same quality of wrestling that we may have seen back in the days.

Secondly, i dont see how they could have The undertaker. The man is plagued with injuries. Wrestlers get older and hes not going to be the agile undertaker that walked the top rope and executed flying clotheslines. So i wouldnt be surprised if this whole thing was some setup by shane mcmahon just to get back at kane.

But with the whole clothesline from the top rope thing... Taker did that move when he had the biker image that was what? 6 monthes ago or someting?.. so i think its totaly possible.

Oh he'll be back. Even if it is just for this one match. I was hoping he'd be around for a few consecutive months at least to provide at least some plot or story line.

In either case, mainly because of what AT has mentioned, he needs to come back at least once more so he can have a fitting departure into retirement. Sure, Kane and McMahon wanted to it to end with the 'Buried Alive' match, but that was just a plot device to give the fans what they wanted.

As far as him not being able to perform at the peak he used to, well, thats true, but consider this- when he was the original Undertaker he moved very slowly and robotic-like. His mannerisms and gimmicks (especially the way he used to rise up when knocked down, like Kane does from time to time) were meant to reflect his character and persona. He should be able to at least do this and still be as impressive a performer and wrestler as he was in the past.

My worry isn't with his performance, its with how long he'll be around after that match. As a Undetaker fan since I was a kid, and saw him in his original persona at a live event, I sure hope he doesn't come back for just one match.

Story and plot wise, how can it be his last match? He beats Kane and then what? He just leaves? There has to be some plot device thats believable and the fans will accept for his departure for good. He also has unresolved issues with Vince McMahon. Don't forget, Vince is the reason he wanted that 'Buried Alive' match in the first place.

While that match did prolong his retirement a bit, it created a new plot device which needs to be resolved.

I think a fitting way to end it would be for him to beat Vince so bad or maybe just scare the evil out of him that Vince changes his character and has a change of heart about the way he conducts his business.

As far as Kane, the Undertaker needs to take Kane down with him. That would be good and a fitting end. Perhaps some type of match where at the end he sacrifices himself after chokeslamming Kane into a burning hell and then just walking off the edge after giving the fans one last wave and victorious raised arm.

I think that would be ideal. But on the other hand, unless they are ready to let Kane go, that wouldn't work. They both have to leave for it to work that way.

Ok...few things really...

Lets not kid ourselves everybody. The Undertaker was a terrible wrestler: Barring some nifty top-rope moves, mat-gimmicks and his signature moves, 'Taker has a very, very short repetoire of moves. Compaire him to the likes of Eddy G (yay!) and RVD (wow) and the 'Takers limitations become apparant. A long service with WWE, and the whole host of injuries that have come along with it, have further reduced his ability to shine. If it weren't for the fact that the Undertaker, as a person and a concept for a wrestler, is just so god-damned kewl then he'd have disappeared a while back now.

Truth be told, he's gone already: WM20 is being touted as the Big One, a true celebration of the company and of all of its stars, past and present. The 'Taker is coming back more as a "special guest" for the affair, and I'm almost 100% certain that this is not a kick-start for a grand come-back. It's a one-off appearance, and it's a testament to his popularity with the fans that such a short-lived event has recieved such a huge push from the script writers. All for the best, though...

Remember....soon.....the Dead with Rise.

Again.

the character of the Undertaker is probably one of the GREATEST creations of all time. Mark Calloway played that character as that character was meant to be played. i am looking forward to WM20. to me, wrestling is just like it was post WWF Hogan and before the Austin era. entertaining, but not like "how it used to be". i still enjoy it because hell, what else is on TV?

as for Evolution, Triple H and Ric Flair are the only entertaining characters in Evolution. Batista is just a mass of flesh and i just cant stand Randy Orton. something about his character SUCKS.

wrestling will always be wrestling. it may not be as big as the Austin era or the Hogan era, but it is still enjoyable. WM20 should be entertaining. off the wall exciting? probably not. worth watching? i think so.

After this is all said and done for him, who is going to fill the gap his absense will leave? Or do you think its not even necessary at this point? Whose the next Rock, Mick Foley, and Triple H? What about these guys? Is there any existing talent in the business that could replace the superstars if they retire or should suddenly leave for whatever reason, or, God-forbid, die?

Actualy, Orton kicks ass, and is a star of the future...what brings him down in the eyes of many is his affiliation with Evolution. Charecters if Evolution asside, that team does bugger all for WWE, which is bad news when it's being led by the the Big Title Holder himself (hereon in he will be referred to as Cripple H in honour of a previous post 😉 )...but yeah, Orton is a good wrestler, and he plays a great heel.

Big shots of the future? Eddy G is just amazing, thank god he got the title, although kudos for Lesnar, too...I wasn't much for him when I first got back into all of this (blame my housemates. I know I do...), but the more I've seen of him the more kewl I think he is. Ok, so he's a Giant Baby, but he's a Baby that can throw the Big Show over his shoulders like he was Ray Mysterio Jr (and boy, *that* matchup rocked way more than I though it would, go Ray 😀 ), so he's all good, and only 25 to boot.

Beyong that...err...well, I'm sure Vince has got some home-grown fresh talent up his sleave *somewhere*, but to me he's been giving the impression that all he's got left to lean on these days is the old tricks that might not be so successful as they used to be...as I write this now, RAW just celebrated the re-creation of the Rock and Sock connection for WM20: Interesting as that might be, not sure if it's going to be all that entertaining. Then again, it is the Rock we're talking about here...

*babbles on some more*

If Vince doesn't get it together, for the long run and future of his business, it might just be snuffed out. We see this as impossible right now, but who knows that the future holds. This industry could go down the drain, and as time passes, less potential talent will be drawn to it.

Everything is just so damn predictable now. Nothing is a suprize. Raw and Smackdown have been boring lately, in my opinion.

I think Randy orton would be a great single competitor or teamed up with a worthy partner. He is in great shape and has great microphone skills. Batista is in great shape but is a one move ma. Also, he needs some serious work on the microphone. I dont know how many years Ric flair has left. As for mic foley, i dont know how much punishment he can take without being turned into a vegetable.

After wrestlemania, goldberg is gone, evolution might be split up, allowing hhh to start up a new stable. Rvd might be headed for smackdown.

I would seriously like to see something done with the light weights like they had in wcw. Also, the wwe needs some better raw talent. Tag teams like hurricane and rose make raw unwatchable sometimes.

The Hurricane and Rosy are a joke. They either need to get rid of those two or completely change their gimmack.

Wait...are you dissing Huuricane and Rosy???

---SHOCK---

Ok, ok, first off: Hurricane rocks. That man is one *Hell* of a wrestler, and you should blame WWE for not letting him (or anyone else for that matter) wrestle to his full capabilities. *Any* cruiser-weight who can choke-slam a heavy-weight gets my vote...and rosy is, if I remember correctly an ex-wcw wrestler...part of a tag team that was, so I've heard, bloody good. High-flyers, would you beleive it? Anyway, like I said...fantastic talents, its just that they're being given shit-all air-time and no reasons to show off there stuff. WWE is just turning into an irish-whip fest followed by some poorly-executed finisher. Not exactly entertaining, IMO...

*rambles even more, for longer...*

AT

Oh, I believe that. Thats why I said its either getting rid of them or changing their gimmack. The superhero thing is really stupid, and I don't think its working for them as performers and wrestlers. I'm not making light of them as wrestlers, and I'm not calling into question their held-back skills. Its just the act I think is stupid. I don't even really like them as a team. They seem too mismatched, and I'm not talking about their appearance.

Unless they are allowed to do what they want as performers I don't see them getting any more popular. And Rosy's costume is horrid. I don't care if he's just a S.H.I.T! 😛
