Allllrighty then, I think it's safe to say this thread is self explanatory. Let's talk video games. First Person Shooter, RPG, Real-time Strategy, Sports, Action Adventure, Survival Horror etc. The only rule is to stay within the subject. Disobey the sacred rule and we'll all have to gang tickle you or something.

I recon I'm obligated to tee off this thing. Any one check out Resident Evil 4? Man, that game was HOT. I especially loved they way it was shot!! I've never seen a game where the camera is behind the character's back before. At certain parts of the game the camera was either closer to Leon or further away, all depending on the situation. Capcom just took the Resident Evil series, dusted it off, and gave it a complete makeover. I can only hope the people at Konami follow in Capcom's footsteps and have Silent Hill 5 (assuming they're even making another one anyway) shot the way RE4 was. Cause Silent Hill style of horror is more psychological, so if it was shot like RE4, I think it would fuck with your head even more!

Never really been into resident Evil, but 4 looks awesome. Is it a bit more focused on action than the others? I found them to be a bit slow paced, and I suck at puzzles.

Resident Evil 4 was pretty good, the preview of Resident Evil 5 looks awesome. There is a Silent Hill 5 coming out, it takes place in a park go figure. It looked pretty good, I am not too sure about the release date and what not, I'll have to look into that. Although, the Silent Hill movie looks exactly like the game, minus the fact that the main character is a girl rather than the guy that was in the game. As much as I love RE, SH would have to be the better of the two series, although definitely SH 4 The Room sucked compared to Resident Evil 4, although RE2 would have to be my favorite.

I liked SH4. Those games don't really scare me (I'm soooo desensitized) but SH4 actually started to bug me out when going back to the apartment became just as dangerous as the places through the hole. Silent Hill the movie looks HOT! I saw the preview and noticed the movie has Pyramid Head in it. Pyramid Head, from SH2, has to be the most unique character design in the series. I also like the design of the Closers from SH3. Those artists at Konami turn the human figure into this twisted art form that's absolutely beautiful, in a hideous way though.

oh yea and does anyone know anything about thie new pc game with christopher walken in it? i dont remember the name but i love that man he rocks and i'd like to know about the game before i get into it.

No, never heard anything about that one, but if you go to Gamespy.com, IGN or Gamepro, you could probably find something on it. 🙂

These days I'm looking for something a little different. I'm tired of 1st person shooters, squad based bullshit, and racing games. Although those games are great full, I'm always looking for inovation. I tend to bore with the same old stuff. I hope the new consoles come up with something other than the same old, same old only with better graphics. Fun is more important that graphics.

What is Katamari? Like what kind of game is it I should say. I never heard of it, is it for the PS2? Did anyone check out God of War? That game's freakin' crazy. Not only does it have naked women in it, which I've never seen in a video game before, but it's also one of the most violent game I've ever play since Soldier of Fortune. Needless to say, I thought God of War was amazing!!!

Never been into strategy games much, Hungarian. My scene is more pointless explosions, lots of guns, the odd sword, maybe some car chases, etc. 😛
Favourite games are Timesplitters, GTA, Driv3r, Gun, War of the Monsters, Soul Calibur, True Crime, anything good for a burst of adrenaline. 😛

you play a prince and all of the stars in your solar system are gone and you have to make more stars to put back in the sky. You start off with a small ball called a katamari and all you do is roll it around it basically picks up anything that is in your way. The more stuff you pick up in a certain amount of time, the bigger the star. sometimes you get pressed for time but its really fun, especially when you accidentally pick up people with your katamari lmao.

Sounds addicting, and also sounds like a PC game, I'll have to check out the demo.

Did anyone download this mod for Doom 3 called "Classic Doom 3?" If not, I highly recommend it. It's the first episode of Ultimate Doom redone using the Doom 3 engine. It is the coolest mod, I've played for Doom. And I'm a hard core Doom fan (if you haven't noticed my avatar and the two animated GIF's on my signature 🙂 ) I still play Ultimate Doom at least once a year.

On a different note, does anyone remember a game called Paperboy? I totally think that's a game worthy of a remake. This game is one of the most messed up games I've ever played. I mean, here's this poor little paperboy trying to deliver the daily news and everyone's out to get him. Skateboarders, old ladies with doe rollers, dogs, the Grim Reaper, FUCKING TORRNADOS, lawn mowers, among other obstacles. The second one's even crazier!

I remember Paperboy! Man, that poor kid just couldn't get a break for anything! If not for the tornadoes, I'd say he was trying to deliver papers in Seattle or Tacoma.

i dont think a paperboy remake would fly, much like the pokemon blue/red remakes were pretty horrible. can't beat a classic
