I don't know about you, but the mere word 'tickle' gets me EXTRENELY hot. I can chat with anyone about tickling & I am immediately in heat.
I've been like that since I can remember.
Anyone else haev the same reaction to a silly little word like 'TICKLE' ?

I used to be like that A LOT...could barely say the word...and if a lady said the word...Wooo😱
I am not as sensitive to the word anymore...but it still tickles my ear to hear the word...now what gets me going is laughter...that sweet "ticklish" laughter...
Good topic.

It's OK for me. I don't mind the word, but I am paranoid about saying it myself in public, because I just have this thought that everyone will clamp down on me and ridicule me. Ridiculous, I know, but hey...

Yes, I get excited when I hear the word. That's why verbal teasing works so well for me when I'm being tickled. 😀

Did you see the "Tickle antipersperant" thread? There was another version of that commercial, where they had four women saying "Tickle", and then the fragrence, since there were fout to choose from. I LOVED that commercial! Four attractive ladies saying "Tickle"? Two or three times each? Oh, Margaret!

Fun indeed, though sometimes a bit awkward. If the word or topic comes up in casual conversation, it's like butterflies start flying around in the old stomach. I don't really want to get found out, so it's good knowing you associate pleasure with tickle/tickling, but there's the worry it can lead to embarrasment

I'm the same way, but with a slight difference. While thinking of the word "Tickle" gets me going, the word "Ticklish" really does it for me. I think this is for several reasons. First, of course because Iam turned on by tickling, and find it sexual, and also, "Ticklish", especially when thinking of girls who are ticklish, makes me think of a weakness or vulnerability that they have which another can seize to make them laugh. While we have discussed on here many times that tickling is supposed to be pleasurable for the lee too, we cannot deny that there are very dominant lers who get turned on by torturing and controlling another. So, to me, a girl being "Ticklish" is two things. It represents a turn on sexually, and also a weakness that can be exploited, to make them laugh, and for pleasure. I dont know how anyone else sees it, but this is my view.

I’ve come a long way. just hearing the word in casual conversation used to just about make me see spots before my eyes. I will still change the subject tho... too much tickle talk in certain situations is just plain uncomfy! like ANY time it comes up at work or within my extended family.

I have, however, learned to take it a little bit less seriously... but I think I am forever doomed to repeat every single time it comes up over and over in my head.

There was a similar thread that I answered last year, and there were some interesting posts on that one as well...
The word has a magical power to it. If you will kindly notice, very rarely do any of my posts carry the word. I usually find alternative phraseology...the English language is full of that.
I know using the word, for me, is a strange, powerful thing. Hearing other people say it makes my ears perk like a pointer's...watching strangers poke each other can make my day.
Amazing.

I do that! I have gotten over typing the word (tickle tickle tickle! I even type it on accident on occasion.) but SAYING the word in certain situations still presents a problem. very recently I was driving with my mother in the car... I kept coughing and couldn’t make that cough feeling go away. Mom looked at me with that ‘concerned Mom’ look in her eye, so I said, “I have this itch in my throat that won’t go away.”. she looked me square in the eye (I’m lucky I didn’t rear-end someone during that Mom-lock-gaze) and said, “you mean... you have a TICKLE in your throat?”.

I could have sworn that there was an uncomfortable silence in the car (my sister, who knows, was in the back seat). I simply answered, “yes”. but later replays of that moment (over and over in my head lol) convinced me that the silence was not uncomfortable. for anyone but me anyhow...

When I hear that word (yes still refered to as that word) I freeze and my skin tingles

I only started being able to say "the word" in college. I've been terrified/enthralled by it since can remember. First grade at the latest. My friend and I had a pact never to say it. We called it the "Embarrassing Word"... it was cute. She grew out of it. I took a while. I love hearing people (not family... weeeeiird) saying it. Ever just watch a show or movie and imagine what someone in it would sound and look like saying it? Guilty.

Mwah!

The words tickle, ticklish etc. make me squirm. I agree with several of the posts here including the point that verbal taunting using these words increases ones tickishness. Also, these words plus wiggling fingers in the air actually cause a tickling sensation in some very ticklish people including myself, causing laughter etc.

Tickle, tickling, tickles, ticklish - they all trip through my wires. I too have a twinge of nerves speaking them too, like I feel like I'm italicizing the word when I say it and will draw all kinds of glances, though I've gotten much more comfortable after several positive experiences. Hell, I even crack a smile if a woman mutters something that SOUNDS like tickle, like saying "take all" really fast 😛

And that Tickle.com radio spot with the female voice-over....I nearly ran into a bloody stop sign lol

Um...stephie, and Smurphy?

TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE!

(Man, no WONDER I can't see the letters on those keys anymore!)

Heh, heh, heh!

Double "Evil, but fun" T.

Oooooooooooooooooooo.....

God, me too--and how fast can you get out to me and TS on west coast honey?

XOXO

Hearing any form of the word excites me to no end, especialy if someone I'd like to tickle says it. I also enjoy the sight and sounds of tickling. :bouncybou

Now, I wonder why this is? I'm not hijacking the thread, I just want to take it to the next step...

I think it's because when we were kids, tickling was, on many levels, an intrusive thing. Certainly, none of us at age five or six sat there and negotiated with our friends when or where, or with what instruments, or restraints. Because it was intrusive action, we all have this reaction to both the word and the act. Some people aren't ticklish at all, and others it didn't bother, but for some reason, it bothered us on some level in our psyche.
I think what I'm saying makes sense. Anyone care to elaborate further?

OK Bart, that DOES it...

If you and your soles are still in Florida when I get out there next spring, you are both in BIG BIG trouble! <<<<----

XOXO

I definitely get butterflies any time I hear an outsider say "The Word." I just kind of stand there looking dumb and speechless. But it's a different story with someone who "gets it."
