A little technique called positive reinforcement...
If there is anything you can do for David that he really, really likes, but you don't do it that often because it's either really difficult or takes a lot of effort; soon, while it can still be linked to the tickle, do that thing for him and let him know it's an expression of appreciation/gratitude for the tickling he gave you.
Just to reinforce the idea that the tickling was good thing, and how much you enjoy it. You might also mention that the fact that he did it without being asked made it even more special/sweeter for you, and that he is really the one person you prefer to get tickled by.
That kind of encouragement should make a positive impression on his memory, and lead to repetitions of the incident!
