It sounds like it would be perfect for me, if it is legit. Because I've always said that if I was rich, I'd be happy because I wouldn't have to give a damn about anything or anyone but myself ever again. Just live a carefree life of partying like Paris Hilton or somebody like that. I totally have that narcissistic, selfish, self-absorbed kind of personality, only without the money, which really really REALLY sucks. :sowrong: And it sounds like that's what this show is about: would money make you happy? how much do you need it to be happy? that sort of thing

Tell you what...send me a $99 processing fee and I'll tell you what I think about the legitimacy of this ad.

Ignatz could be right.

Usually when there's an asterisk near a price ($99 processing fee*) there is another asterisk down below with some sort of disclaimer, and I couldn't find it in this case. I suppose it could be legit because a lot of TV and film production is done in Toronto now, but my tendency would be to stay away.
In any case, if you go for this you'll probably be bombarded with similar offers which may be evil and illegitimate.

I'm no expert, but I've never heard of a show that charged money to try out for it.

Sounds dodgier than a 'tached hawker in an airport car park. I'd avoid personally.

Please don't tell me you're serious about this, CQ. If it's not legit, you'll lose your money. If it is, you'll have to go through an arduous audition process, and you probably won't make it onto the show. If you do, your life will be exposed to public scrutiny on national television. Even if you win some money, I don't think going through all that is worth it, but it's your call. Just keep in mind you'll be taking a big risk and nothing is guaranteed.

Well the consensus is that it doesn't sound legit, so I'm going with that. But as far as what amk said about having one's life exposed on national tv and all that: I think that's what appeals to a lot of people about reality tv. Instant celebrity without having to actually yknow, accomplish anything LOL. I need to get my meds adjusted. Because when I start talking about what a self-centered asshole I am, the meds aren't working like they should. 🙁 Thanks for being willing to waste a little of your time on my stupid question, folks. 🙂
