I recieved an email from some girl asking me one simple question and that is all...

"dont you think tickling is cruel"

I guess bc my main fetish is tickling this person decided to ask me, probably not actually thinking I thought it was cruel but to tell me she think it was cruel, I responded by saying...

"do you message people into bandage and spanking and ask them if they think that's cruel? Because that seems pretty painful to me. Tickling may hurt somewhat but most people that tickle someone doesn't mean to hurt them but the people on this fetish site that are into spanking and biting and all this other stuff, they are meant to hurt so why don't you go ask some of them what they think about what they're into."

I just thought I'd share. lol

That is a very odd question to ask someone on Fetlife, lol.

I'm curious, what sort of things is she into? If she's into pain it just makes it even more baffling to me.

yeah, I was kinda hoping she was into pain so i could put that out in my message back to her, so before I replied I checked out her profile and she didn't state any fetishes so it annoyed me that I couldn't comment on them lol...

That doesn't surprise me too much. Through my own limited experience, I think the fetish world in general looks down on tickling. I was at a gathering in Manhattan many years ago at a fethish club called "TES" and some of the people there thought of tickling as, "strange" "a distraction" "something we would never do during a scene" " a scene breaker" Some of the people into other D/s SM and other kinks did not get "the tickling thing" at all and these were some of the kinkiest people I ever met. Paddles, collars, leashes, whips all seemed very normal to them but you mention tickling and they look at you like you have 3 heads. :rules:

It looks like some random girl, interested in both tickling (ergo her email) and your photo, and seduced by the fact that you're an actor, has messaged you and, hoping to interact, started a discussion in true female fashion, i.e. indirectly.

Otherwise why would she bother contacting YOU specifically (perhaps she's local?) about this topic when so many others share it?

And you've responded by telling her to get lost.

Live and learn, dear fellow.

lol less, and study human beings a bit more.

Sure, I may be wrong on all counts, but wouldn't it have been worth a polite, witty reply to find out?

Lol, I remember talking to a couple at a fetish club in London quite soon after I started posting on the TMF. They were a hetro couple but the guy was into the whole cross dressing thing and the girl was open minded so she was just there to see what it was all about. Anyway I mentioned the TMF and told them what it was all about and get this - the guy says "What? you mean there is actually a website for TICKLING?" as if it was the strangest thing he had ever heard lol. I remember thinking, This fella is standing in front of me dressed like a fucking French maid and he thinks tickling is strange!. I could tell his girlfriend was a bit puzzled by his reaction and she thought the whole thing was very amusing but hey, life would be boring if we were all the same I guess 🙂

I'm pretty sure you are, in fact, wrong on all counts.

There are some people out there, a lot of whom seem to be women, who just verbalize any thought that pops into their head... without any regard for how said comment might come across to the listener.

In this particular case, she saw that the OP was into tickling, and, not being into tickling herself, thought out loud, "tickling is cruel. Doesn't he think so?" And, being curious, fired off said E-mail to satisfy her curiosity. nothing more.

I highly doubt that she was into tickling or wanted to meet up with him, given that the first thing she did was question the appropriateness of his kink... on a kink forum. That's just not too swift an opener if you want to get on his good side.
