It's the eleventh of September, and my thoughts this morning gravitate to a man I know, who's engaged to be married to my wife's cousin this November, one of the top twenty most beautiful women I've ever met in my life. This guy's terrific, a jewel, fun to be around, as sunny a personality as you'll meet. He lost his brother in the towers that day, one of the employees at Cantor Fitzgerald, where there were no survivors of the work force who reported that morning.
I've never felt comfortable talking to him about his brother or anything about that day. I'm really not good at talk like this. My heart is going out to him right now, though, as well as all the others. I also think of the morning of September 12th, seeing more cars than usual parked in the lots at the Princeton Junction train station while driving through, and a taxi driver friend of mine saying that those extra cars belonged to people who weren't coming home.
I'm reasonably sure that everyone in north and central New Jersey knew someone, either directly, or through one or two degrees of separation, who died up there that day. That's magnitude...

Magnitude is right, Knox...I haven't spoken with anyone over the last two years who didn't know someone directly of indirectly who was lost that day....myself included....🙁 That's why we must never forget...and NEVER let it happen again.........

I am sure the tragic event that took place 2 years ago today has impacted many people in many ways.
I think as we remember those who have died, we should appreciate more the fact that we are still alive and that perhaps our lives are a gift that we should not take advantage of.

Knox,

I know I will never forget on many different levels, one I am a true NY girl, born and raised. I love the city. 2nd my neighbor works for Cantor Fitzgerald, he fortunately took his 1st day off that year to go fishing...unfortunately he lost almost all his work buddies..truly sad.

I will never ever forget.

Judy
