Is it just me, or does it seem like the people who get tickled the most are the ones who absolutely can't stand it? All of my female friends complain about their boyfriends tickling them because they say they've always hated it. And in the back of my mind, I guess you can say I'm jealous **WISHING** A guy would tickle me all the freakin' time because I would have no complaints. I don't know where they find their boys but I want to go next time lol. What does anyone else think of this theory?

That sounds like a power dynamic thing...like guys rocking the rowboat to make their female counterpart scream....I hate that crap. It sounds like that asshole (can I say that?) boyfriend syndrome is a part of this thing. Yes, squeaky wheels/giggly women get the grease/tickle torture, but is seems as though these may not be "lifers"....I'm sure if you had a guy/woman who was really into you AND they were really into tickling, your dreams would become real....these guys you talk about are probably not INTO tickling, but into showing dominance over their partners or suffering from a lack of sophistication on how to create real connection and intimacy - an epidemic from what I hear and see! - and use tickling as a power play.

I've seen cooler heads and hands deal out more fair-minded tickle torture to anyone they can get their hands on and heads around. Don't worry about these asshole (can I say that?!?) guys....you don't want them tickling you anyway. They don't "get it" anyway and if you told them how much you liked it, they'd be put off by it (women with strong senses of themselves and what they want always seem to do that to guys who don't) and think you strange.....like being an asshole (can I say that?!) boyfriend isn't strange enough (common, but strange).

Keep your ribs clear and your feet in good shape and your shoes easily undone (ler traps are so easily laid!).....I'm sure your non-asshole (there, I said it!) tickle monster is on their way.

You're 100% right about the jerky guys liking the controlling part of it. Oh and my feet I pedicure a lot and use a lot of lotion. I even wear cute socks to draw attention to my feet. I even shave and moisturize my armpits to make them soft. My skin is soft and pretty everywhere so I try lol. But thank you =) You made me feel a lot better!

hhhmmm, dunno what to tell ya. I don't seem to have that problem at the moment. My friends like to take pokes at me every chance they get. I rather enjoy it, unless they are just being a dick about it.

I would say just try to stay as playful as possible. I'm a raging smartass that loves to mess around and have fun. That is usually my demise as well.

Jill, if I like you, I'll tickle you. But I have to admit, I've tickled girls who enjoyed it and tickled girls who didn't, and I always found the latter a bit hotter. Not that I wanted those who didn't like getting tickled to be mad at me and I sure didn't want to drive them away. But when they liked me enough to tolerate my ticklings, that was always the best.

For me, the appeal is knowing a girl puts up with my tickling fingers just to please me. God knows a woman who wants a man is the most powerful force, and what fun it is to know while she wouldn't want me to tickle her, she keeps coming back because she wants to keep me.

Seems like most guys just enjoy irritating their girlfriend! I sometimes wish I didn't tell my husband that I was into tickling, because when he still thought it was annoying to me he tickled me a lot more than he does now!

I realize you wrote the second sentence in jest, Rhiannon, but it answered your rhetorical question. When a woman wants to please a man, her limits are not far from his fantasies. Girls who would never let a loser like me tickle them would put up with it were the tickler Brad Pitt or some other guy they'd love to have.

My friends hate being tickled too and their BF's do it to them! I too was jealous BUT now that I am single and out in the "dating world", I am open with my "fetish" and I am upfront if I am really interested in the guy. Tell the guy straight up that you LOVE it and most guys will poke at you, like the reaction and get into it......

Now, violence is another matter. Ditto gambling with the rent, making a pass at your sister, and other world-renowned deal-breakers. Women put up with that garbage for reasons such as poor self-esteem, fear of the man, and being too poor to make it alone.
