I'm not sure how to explain it without copy/pasting entire text thread conversations... but it seems like the women are so accustomed to rude or abusive behavior on there, that there's kind of a hair trigger, better walk on eggshells, "take offense" easily over anything quality to it. This. Don't bother using Fetlife to find people. Instead, use it to find nearby munches, which are no-pressure no-play social events held in vanilla venues such as bars or coffee shops. That way you'll actually meet people face to face and will be able to socialise without having to wonder if they actually exist. It'll take a while and several attendances but as your kink social circle expands it might happen for you.

I’ve personally met some rude, immature, insensitive but fun, interesting & wonderful people there. The mix is the same as on any platform. It just depends on what one is looking for.
