Thread Ratings

Howzat work, anyway?

Do a certain number of poster need to rate a thread before an average is calculated? I ask only because I've rated afew threads, but haven't seen the little patch of stars show up next to them the way they do with other threads.

hmm see the rate this thread ^ up above..you click on that..and a series of multiple answers shows up..and you vote..i just voted on this one..

I guess ratings start showing after a sizeable number of users vote.
Else, a single troll or disgruntled user could downvote slews of threads, on a whim.

I think anyone can vote. Once a vote is made a thread gets that rating. As more users vote the rating takes them into account. An infrequently utilized feature, to be sure.

Anyone can vote, and a certain number of votes are needed before the rating appears.
