Do you keep anything in the bathroom to puruse while you, emmm, take care of business?I have a couple of Uncle Johns Bathroom Readers.Very nice because they have both long and short articles so you can time things out just right.😀 Geesh what a topic for a thread.:idunno:

The bathroom is the right place to keep magazines that you're going to throw away soon. 😀

Good idea Mil's,ya never know when you might run short on Charmin.:blaugh:

Nothing, I'm just in and out. But I work with a huge man who makes a big deal about selecting bits of the paper to take to the loo with him. Then noisily warns everyone to keep clear for a while after he exits. We have found it best to heed his advice.

We have one of those bathroom readers. Ours is a book of sports quizzes, really very boring. In truth I usually just carry a book everywhere I go including the bathroom.

Our "Water Closet" (go go Victorian lingo!) has been nicknamed "the library" because one can find anything and everything from Band Of Brothers and Never Die Alone to my little niece's Dr Seuss books, as well as the finest collection of periodicals and newspapers this side of John Menzies. I usually go for either a paper or one of my special magazines, depending on what business I'm taking care of.

I have a huge set of "Uncle John's Bathroom Readers". My aunt was a librarian and always sent me the newest ones. Very cool -- bite-sized articles, little bits on history, quotes, wordplay and whathaveyou. Big fan. Oddly enough, I don't read 'em in the bathroom, though...

Dr seuss?! Are you planning on taking a short bath in the john, you silly bender?

Usually, it's whatever book I'm currently reading. This time it's "When will Jesus bring the pork chops?" from George Carlin. Also, before getting the Carlin book, I started re-reading "The Icewind Dale" trilogy from R.A. Salvatore. I get my best reading done on the throne.

My Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 edition books.

It's about the only time I ever read them anymore.

It really doesn't take me long enough to go to the bathroom to read anything. Maybe I end up reading the ingredients in the toothpaste.

I just bring in whatever it is I'm in the middle of reading at the time.

Actually, here is something you can do if you are hard up on reading material:

One of my favourite games to play when going to the bathroom is finding something (medication, cream, etc.) with ingredients on the back.

Preferably something that has a long sceintific name in one of the ingredients.

The game is that you have to re-arrange the letters and see how many other words you can make out of that ingredient.

Great fun.:couch:

I study an expensive work of art I hung in my bathroom. I may have been fleeced because there is something not quite right about it.

AHAHAHA it took me a minute to figure out what was up with that painting, very creative, kered!

Me personally, i don't do any reading on the pot... i don't like hanging out with my pants around my ankles like that.. that's gross. But i have been known to doodle in my sketch pad in the bath on rare occasion.

Bathroom reading material? Nah, I don't like to screw around in there. Get in, get out. Sure, some trips are longer than others, but still. 😛

I just grab the nearest book thats in my closet, turn to whatever page, and read. It doesnt have to be something I'm currently reading, just whatever to keep me occupied.

Mitch

I don't read in the throne room, but sometimes take a notepad and pen to write "to do" lists.

I don't read in my bathroom.

I read in public bathrooms.

The graffiti on the wall just has some of the best advice, I swear.
