I think most lers here who buy clips can tell when a model is faking it, without getting into any "tells." .

I really don't think they can. Sure, you can always spot a bad fake, but then again it is easy to spot because it is a bad fake. Someone who can act halfway decent can fool most people. It doesn't take an Academy Award to fake being ticklish. I don't know how many times I've heard someone rave about a model only for said model to come out and admit she was faking the whole time. Just recently the Paradise Vision non-consensual video was shown to be an act, but for years there were people out there saying there was no way that it could have been fake. People want to believe.

Some may exaggerate more than others, but from what I've heard it is a common practice.

It is, but only among companies where that type of exaggerated reactions is required or favoured. There's a belief that all fetish models are actresses, therefore they are simply playing a role for the viewer - which is true in many cases. Some of us do insist on reality throughout however, and make a point of telling models not to exaggerate or try to ramp up their reactions. It depends on the type of production, which is why some models that shoot for multiple companies have different reactions in different clips.

It's simple. When a model knows that the producer (and the audience) wants her to be more ticklish, she might start faking it instinctively. Even if the producer tells her to be natural, she knows she won't be invited again (or paid for her work) if she doesn't laugh. She might just force herself to respond in a way that is expected from her.

That's why there can't be any faking in tickle therapy videos because our patients know that our goal is to overcome their weakness and tickle them until they are not scared of it. If we succeed in convincing them to try it, despite their fear 🙂 It's such a pleasure to capture natural reactions and share it!

Of course we encountered plenty of clients who turned out to be non-ticklish, and we already have a collection of these funny videos where the ticklers had no success.

That's only the case where the producer puts pressure on the model to react in a certain way or isn't clear about what they want. Personally, I've always made it clear that natural reactions are better whether they're loud, quiet or whatever...they know they're going to be paid anyway. I tell them not to worry if they scream or swear, and I specifically tell them that I don't want fake reactions. If they're not ticklish in one position, we'll try something else. If you're clear about what you want then models understand this and will behave naturally. It's better to be able to know what doesn't work so you can find out what does.
