A few months ago there was a post with tickling facts and percentages of different polls.It said that 85% of male and female find tickling to be arousing.Doesnt that seem way high or am I clueless about this?

I think the reason most tickle statistics seem to be confusing is because they don't specify which kind of tickling they are talking about. The greeks had 2 words for tickling but we make do with only one word to describe two different sensations and that probably leads to a lot of confusion.

I would guess that most people find light tickling to be arousing. I know I've tried light tickling on all my boyfriends and I can't think of one that I didn't find some way to tickle that they liked.

I remember reading those same statistics on wikipedia but I'm with you on thinking 85% seems highly dubious.

I don't thing these stats are incorrect. There's just a huge difference between getting playfully tickled for about 30 seconds by your partner or being tied up to a bed for like an hour. I think almost anyone likes the first. Most people don't interpret the word 'tickling' like the members of this forum do. Did the survey's asked for the difference between both or did it just asked 'do you like tickling' in general? Because that would explain a lot...
