While the Three Stooges used tickling in a number of their films, Space Ship Sappywas but one of only two f/m incidents. The other was Hoofs and Goofs, in which a hot French woman tickles Shemp. All other Stooges tickling was m/m. They never did /f tickling.

Actually, the one you're thinking of was called Hugs and Muggs. Hoofs and Goofs was the one where the Stooges' dead sister was reincarnated as a horse.

I've recently rediscovered the genius that is the Three Stooges, and just happened to see the episode where Moe's foot is tickled by a lion. Not exactly my cup of tea (never have found lions attractive), but great nonetheless.

This is also the episode where Curly makes a cameo, which is super cool.

I agree. I must have first seen Space Ship Sappy 40 years ago but never forgot that scene. I'd like to have been on the set when the Three Stooges and those actresses worked out that scene; I wonder how the women felt about doing such a scene with Moe, Larry and Besser. In particular, I like how the girls keep glancing up at the Stooges to see their reactions.

I believe Hold That Lion is the only Three Stooges film where brothers Moe, Shemp and Curly appear. As you probably know, Curly had retired with Shemp taking his place in the act.

Well, yes and no. Technically it was the only original Stooges short. It was later remade as Booty and the Beast, using a lot of stock footage (including Curly's scene).
