Sorry, but that is NOT art. It's a low-quality photo taken with very minimal light with a terrible photoshop effect to make the photo quality worse, not to mention the photoshop'd rope and feathers to make it look like he's being tickled.

You are, of course, correct in your comments about my "art" as displayed in the picture you trashed - but, you are, if I am not mistaken a professional photographer... I took the time to view your work... and indeed, you are very talented and techically proficient. It goes without saying that I am not a pro at this and was really only having a little fun - the basic pic is real but of course, very much processed, with very little skill but strong erotic intent. If only the pros are qualified to play on the TMF, I suspect it would be close to empty of content.
I do understand your reaction - I am a professional in a traditional field and beyond that a writer and a poet of some accomplishment. I try not to be too judgmental about the writings of others on forums like these. This is a place to express, no matter how imperfectly, our fantasies and to share our passions. I am sorry my picture offended you - it is probably in very questionable taste to start with and the execution was weak. But, I hope you can take it as it was intended and smile - perhaps, even feel a twinge of interest in the scenerio. Best wishes, G

True, it does not have to be drawn. I enjoy art of many mediums. Photo manipulations, however, being called art... this is a little upsetting.
I have no problem with art at all levels of "professionalism" and "skill", I myself was a budding artist.

hmm... it has that certain dadaist quality of negative space, a kind of after-image of what a picture might have once been... a sort of art statement where one has to deconstruct what was once there from the comments that follow, like in that old Sesame Street episode where Ernie has an empty frame and he's describing to Bert the picture that used to be there, of a cow that had been eating grass, but it ate all the grass and went away. Kind of like that.

Sharon, Your wonderful comment convinces me that I did the right thing in withdrawing that picture... clearly the echoes of that piece of erotica are far more resonant than the original ever was... Thanks for adding some much needed fun to this often far too serious forum... George
