Ticklilshspots $2.95 Offer a rip-off

At the top of this page is/was an ad for a Ticklishspots trial membership at $2.95. I thought I would take a look.
On the sign-up form there are 3 options: a $2.95 trial, a $29.95 recurring membership for one month and a $74-95 recurring fo 3 months. I took the first.

In the sign-up process, I noticed a little ticked box just below the the one where you have to declare that you are 18 years old. It stated that you agreed to pay the recurring membership of $34.95 to a site that had never been mentioned before, should you not cancel within ONE DAY! I unticked the box, a little surprised at the brazenness of the trap.

Then came the next surprise. There were a number of interesting-looking videos and photosets advertised. but click on any one of them to enlarge or download and you get a message telling you that your membership entitles you to go only to this point. Should you wish to proceed further, you will have to check the available box and pay $39.95 - yes 39.95, for a recurring membership. That's $10 more than than the initial advertised rate!!!

So what I got for my $3 was the questionable pleasure of browsing over the site to view its basic content - something I have done for free on every other site I know...

Well, we live and learn....

contact the billing company and tell them you want a refund.. if they refuse, tell them you will call your credit card company and dispute the charge..

you will get your money back either way...

I live in Europe. It would probably cost me more in transfer and bank charges than what its worth. But you have brought me onto an idea. I shall send a copy of the e-mail I sent to the site company to the billing company, to let them know what it is all about.

Yep I thought "TicklishSpots" was a crock when I tried out the trial too, but at least the money helped this place in some small way which makes it all ok :nerd:
