A few questions to consider on this topic:
1. Do 'lers tend to become less interested in tickling as they get older?
(I'm in my 30s and haven't yet, but I sometimes wonder if I won't if/when I reach "old age"--whenever that begins.)
2. Do 'lees become less interested in or get less enjoyment out of being tickled as they get older?
(I'm more of a 'ler than 'lee so I really can't answer this one.)
And, on a related note, (3.) do 'lees become less ticklish as they get older?
(I've never tickled anyone older than their late 30s, and I have encountered some very ticklish women in their late 30s, but I have also encountered some less ticklish 'lees in their 20s who have said that they used to be far more ticklish.)

Depends on the individual.Age really has nothing to do with it in my experience.

A couple of things have changed over the last four years or so:

-I tapped into my lee side and will occasionally switch (and I do mean occasionally)
-My sensitivity levels are off the charts; sometimes I even surprise myself (often to the surprise of my SO's).

1. i haven't yet been a 'ler but i have a little interest in exploring whether i'd like it or not.

2. i'm 44 and only in the last several months discovered that i love being tickled.

3. i'm very ticklish, so i can't imagine that i would have been more ticklish younger.

I just turned 57. I'm still at ticklish as ever and love being a Lee and a Ler. I've definitely not lost my interest in it and I'm blessed because my husband enjoys "getting" me.

I doubt anyone can "drop" it from their life. I believe it's something in each one of us. In some of us the drive is stronger than for others for varying reasons and that's ok. Just enjoy it!

I am a proud member of "the birthday candles cost more than the cake" club. Mess with me, and my gang, the AARP, will decimate you and your Social Security. I used to walk 5 miles one way through chest high snow just to tickle a pretty foot fresh out of the boot. Hint: A Sonicare is an even more wicked tool if you leave the blinker on (although it does adversely affect battery life) 😉 The senior citizen discount about evens things out. Loving, tickling, living are for all ages(above 18 of course) and for the ages.

No, seriously though, it's my opinion that an interest or preoccupation with tickling is going to fluctuate with age as much as any other interest would. Some people will become less into as they get older, and perhaps something else will take its place. Some will become more interested in it as they get older and learn more about what they like and don't like and how to get the most out of their experiences. And some will keep the same level of interest and activity throughout their lives, regardless of age, but I can't imagine anyone "aging out" of the tickling scene. Can you imagine thinking, "I'm way too old to for all this FUN shenanigans!!" Psh - no way.

1. I'm not as much of a ler as I am a lee. But, I still enjoy tickle fights and sneaking in pokes here and there. I doubt that getting older will have an effect either way. It hasn't so far.

2 & 3. I'll be 47 in a couple of weeks and enjoy being tickled now more than ever. The hormonal changes of perimenopaus also seems to be making me much more ticklish! So, there really IS something good about that time of life! 😀
