Just wondering, has anyone else noticed the striking correlation between tickling and alcohol!?!? Ive only just picked up on it myself but it seems whenever im at a party and ppl are getting a lil tipsy, slowly but surely, tickling rears its beautiful head! In conversations, in the form of tickle fights, its everywhere!

Maybe its just me. Or maybe im just more aware of it because of my little secret. I dont know. But i thiink im onto something here! lol.

Anyone ever almost let their secret slip under the influence? Or done something "tickly" that they wouldnt normally have dared to do whilst sober??

I definately agree with this, every party that I've been to (vanilla parties, tickling parties don't count obviously) where there was a lot of drinking, at some point there would suddenly be a loud shriek and I'd discover that someone has suddenly decided that it would be hilarious to tickle some girl within an inch of her sanity.

And the alchohol also, in my experience, makes it a lot more likely that it won't just be a friendly poke or two, but a full-blown gang-tickle where the victim is left in a drooling, giggling puddle.

true true, another thing to note is the vast number of people who seem to stop being ticklish when drunk.

Yeah, you know, it really does. Case in point. I was probably 21-22 at the time and I was at a house party with a number of friends, both male and female. There was a bunch of that going on. One of my girlfriends decided to lay sprawled out on the carpet just for the heck of it. I was on the couch and was making funny faces at her while she was down there. She was giggling, so I got up up off the couch, went over there and gave her a light poke to the belly. Then a few more. Then all out tickling for the next 30 seconds or so. That was just one example of that night. Alcohol has a way of bringing out the silly side in people. Also the mean side, though thankfully that's not everyone. 😀

This I know to be true, but, somehow, this never happens at the ones I go to. Did someone tell them I'm vicious with it?

I completely agree. Drinking always makes me and my friends really rowdy, and tickling is almost inevitable.

when one drinks.. there inhabitions are lowered and they do things they really want to do yet while sober they have more control.. so drinking does allow one to be a bit more loose and fun.

Alcohol lowers inhibitions and impairs judgment. So when they drink people will do many things that they wouldn't do sober. That doesn't mean that what they're doing is a good idea, of course.

Yep.

Alcohol makes people more daring... and tickling, in general, is a flirty behavior.

Every time I've told a friend about my fetish (only a couple times) I've been drunk. Oops!

I believe it is just that alcohol lowers inhibitions in general so it will certainly lower inhibitions about tickling somebody that you might otherwise be too shy to touch and lower inhibitions about talking about kinks. 😀

Hell...

Back in my younger years, I did a lot of things while under the influence of alcohol.

But I guess my friends weren't as into tickling cuz there weren't any going on at the parties I went to.

Considering that alcohol numbs the senses a little... it seems that being tickled while buzzed on booze might take away from the experience.

However...

Smoking a little green and leafy seems to add to the experience. Not that I do or ever did those sorts of things *cough cough*.

Alcohol numbs the senses. Thus the phenomena known as "whiskey dick" in guys. If anything, alcohol deadens the tickling sensation, but releases inhibitions which may allow for more / louder laughter.

yeah alcohol totally brings out the tickles in people. i had a friend who was so shy, very unemotional, very antisocial, but when he would drink he would become the biggest hugger, most tickly person ever. I've seen this side of people at a lot of parties, its fun to watch the transformation.

Yeah drinking is a good idea, just not too much or youll just forget everything

Well it so happends my birthday was last Friday (which i say so nobody lables me an alcoholic lol). Any wayss
Thursday at college we had a party, i tickled 1 girl whom replied "I'm not ticklish when i drink.")
Friday i drank with friends from home at the bar. 2 girls who i KNOW were ticklish said the same "i'm not ticklish when i drink."
Lastly Saturday...Drank..Same result haha
i should add i got some sleep saturday and wasn't a zombie for the family easter. lol

So Grr, no b-day tickling for me because of drinking!
Maybe it is bad for you!

come to think of it...

I was downtown after the bars got let out and my friend came up behind me and grabbed my arms, and a female friend of mind spontaneously started tickling my stomach and ribs (my shirt had come up and she had these long fingernails...) it tickled a whole lot more than I expected!
