I've never heard of anything like that, why would you make tickling a disciplinary action??

yeah agreed. Tickling is supposed to be about fun and more fun pure and simple. it's not supposed to be able Abuse and Pain. But i guess it's ok to fanstize about Tickling Girls or even Guys for along period of Time like rob3825 was talking about isn't it not? or is that wrong as well?
Personally I've never heard of it happening.
I do know though that I once started a thread very similar to this about two years ago and it was very swiftly removed. The reason given was that although the post itself was innocent enough, the staff didn't want any excuse for wigglers to get a foothold here. Be interesting to see if anything happens here.

Tickling as a punishment for children has been proven to be child abuse.
I would hope a tickle enthusiast wouldn't do this. Tickling as a sexual fetish is only just now begining to gain a grudging acceptance by those open-minded enough not to require the missionary position with the lights off.

I've never actually known or heard of anybody actually doing this, or having it happen to them. However I don't encourage it. It shines a negative light on tickling. And could easily scare off future ticklephiles.

Tickling is fun, and punishment is punishment, and never the twain should meet. You want something unconventional, why not employ a punishment that's already naturally painful - like a Tigers-Devil Rays game or something

My mother used to threaten once in a while. She'd warn me that if I didn't clean my room or something that she'd tickle me as punishment. And that definitely was NOT cool with me. I later told her that it made me really uncomfortable when she said that, and to please stop. She did. Cuz she's a good mama. She never meant it like it was gonna be prolonged or anything, it was really kind of playful threatening to get my butt in gear. But when I told her it freaked me out, she immediately ceased.
My parents have never laid a disciplinary hand on me. Never been spanked, slapped on the hand or anything. My family considers any form of physical punishment to be abusive, hypocritical, and detrimental to any child. For me, all you had to say was, "Or you're going to be punished" and I was a perfect angel. Take away a kid's dessert for a week - - that'll get em thinking way better than "What have I told you?! NEVER hit!! *WACK WACK WACK*" All physical punishment teaches a kid is that might makes right.

At the end of Jenny's First Time (one of Jeff's videos) the gal mentions in the post-tickle interview that her dad used to tickle her as a kid to make sure she behaved. Jeff sounded quite amused. I guess in the context it was presented in, it didn't come across the way you guys describe it.
If and when I become a father, I cannot imagine tickling featuring as a punishment for my kids. To my mind it's a fun thing a parent does with their children; something they do to bond and play around. Doesn't seem "right" to do it as a punishment somehow. I'd almost go as far as to say it's icky, but maybe that's just because I feel the way I do about tickling. *shrugs* (We need a shrugging smiley Myr!)

I agree that it should NOT be used as a form of punishment for children.
But to (maybe) end this thread on a funny note, when growing up in the neighborhood, if I was a wise ass to any of the girls, their first reaction would be "you better shut up or I'll tickle you!"

Personally, I don't know anyone who has ever experienced tickling as punishment, or inflicted it on a child. It doesn't seem like a natural inclination for a parent to resort to tickling when they're angry. I think the parent would truly have to be a sadist (and not a cool one, like me) to do something like that to a child.
Any parent who would tickle a child for a prolonged period of time as punishment should be beaten on the soles of the feet with a water-soaked 1 inch thick bamboo rod.

I would never be one to defend beating the crap out of anybody (except for those who constently need to remined us that WRESTLING'S FAKE). How ever I don't think there is anything wrong with a quick firm smack on the ass is a kid gets out of line with mom or dad. Not beating them or even leaving a mark. Just a suden and unexpected pat to let the child know that when you do something wrong there are consaquenses. Look at some of theas younger guys to day. The parents aren't aloud to so much as take away there phone privlages and they go running to Childrens Aid and waht have you.
Oh and just to verifie the Wrestling thing. Accusing wrestling of being fake is faults because that saying it's trying to depict it's self as something it's not. If you went to a showing of Shakespear would you call it fake... NO. If you when to see a Sci-Fi movie would you yell out, "That Light Sabre isn't real!"...NO. I tell you this though, try and get any actor to cut himself for real with a razor after being hit in the head, for a Movie, TV, and/or, theatore and they'll say NO! In wrestling, well, it aint a "blood" capsle or Katsup brother

On the contrary...
I use tickling as a form of play with my kids. My son especially enjoys it and my daughter is beginning to see the fun also. It's a way to bond in order to become closer. I have never in my life ever heard of tickling as a form of punishment.
