Tickling dating website? How many would use it?

If there were a free niche dating site specifically catered to tickling, would you sign up? Half of me thinks it would flop because it seems that the men outnumber the women greatly. but recently it seems that more women have been signing up, or at least posting more.

First, how many TMF'ers are single and looking for someone to date?
Secondly, how many of those people put tickling high enough on the criteria list that they would look first to "tmfdating.com" or even sign up? I do programming, and I have thought about it before just to give something back. I just don't want it to be a waste of time!

you know, all it would take is to offer free membership to females and place a few well placed adverts in the right publications...namely women's magazines, and even women websites.

On regular dating sites, most allow you to enter keywords to help refine people searching for you. Just enter in the appropriate tickle, ticklish, tickling...and so on. I can guarantee you if a fellow tk person is looking, they will find you that way.

I don't think at this time a tickling only dating site would work and it's alot of effort to boot! If someone had free time, some web space and a good "dating script software" I guess they could test the waters, but I still doubt it would be worth it.

I am single, and looking, so yes: I would join, absolutely. The question is: would a niche dating site work as well or better than any other dating site out there? My tentative answer is no.

If you decide to pursue it, though, I support it fully.

Instead of you've got mail, you've got mils!!! The personals and gathering sections here allow people to (hopefully) contact others relatively close by and already liking tickling. I feel if someone is really a 'lee/'ler/switch they are probably at least a lurker here and TT. The problems already mentioned (site costs, site maintenance time, male/female ratio, geographic spread etc) seem pretty hard to overcome. I must admit a "tweet for feet" would be great. Nice thread and great idea if the kinks can be worked out.....wait then it would be just another vanilla site! 😉

A while back, someone tried putting together a tickle dating site. It was called Tickle Match. The idea, while good, didn't get all that far as I recall. I think, with the personals sections on here and other forums...plus the ability to interact with people before you even acknowledge any personal ad...is plenty for many. But, I'm sure there are some who would join...both guys and gals. The question is whether it would be used enough to be worth the time and effort to get it up and running.

I am looking for someone who has the same tastes as I do, to a certain extent. Tickling is a major joy of mine, so, yeah, if there was a site for tickling dating, I'd want to do it. TMF seems like a logical start, but, not much actual dating luck here it seems. The personals seem a hit or miss. More often misses.

I have thought about this a lot. I would definitely sign up. But, I think it would be more successful through TMF. The personals section here just doesn't cut it. We need something where age, marital status, profile, type of relationship you are looking for, and location were easy to view. I think the male - female ratio is a problem but something like this might entice more females to join! I say do it! Thanks for the idea!

Well, I'd be like the personals here, tons of guys, very few women. Adult Friend Finder, once you join, can see the membership as divided by gender. 13 men per each woman. Good for the women, not so hot for the guys. So no, my guess this would be more of the same.

That is exactly why it sucks to be a guy. Way too many guys for the women, not nearly enough women for the guys. You'd need much more of a balance for it to even have a hope of catching on.

I'd definitely give it a look, but as others have stated, those types of sites never seem to have staying power. But hey, it couldn't hurt. I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be extremely interested in meeting someone, whomever that perfect match may be.

Many moons ago, there was a site called Tickle Match. A personals dating website that was strictly for tickling lovers. It bombed big time.
Never to my memory have I seen anything since.

The women who are active here became a part of a community, and for some, the community itself enabled them to meet potential dates. If I wanted to find a date, it would be just as easy to go on TMF and find a guy in my area. I don't see why guys who are persistent and find no luck here would find more success on another site that is less well-known.

I've always been interested when I hear women say this. I get messages oohh.... 2-3 times a year. Would you say that the average woman has a BOX FULL of messages everytime they log into tmf. I can understand if they have many friends on the forum. I'm just talking about messages from random people.... and from some of the stories, some of the messages are... less than appropriate. Do the ladies run into this a lot?? a lot lot?? And how do you handle this? And are most people reasonable and respectful if you have told them to back off. I don't get bombarded, some weeks I get none. More common is the random yahoo IM. I attribute this to my SN, which isn't obviously feminine. I have not and will never post a picture on the forum. And well, I post often enough about having a boyfriend that maybe it rightly discourages some.

I've had a few people be rude to my "thanks but no thanks" responses. But again, I don't get as many messages.

It reminds me of the old "motto" of Alaska dating(as far as the M/F ratio) "the odds are good, but the goods are odd". I hear even on the lesbian dating sites, the men still outnumber the women. Sheeeesh! 😉 The ladies here of course can have their choice of tickle partners with ease. Raises the bar for us guys for sure. As has been said just be yourself, post, chat, munch. Dreams do come true! I think the personals and gatherings are as practical a solution as will be found. I do not think more ladies will post to a " tickle dating service" since they are already in a power position.
