I havn't posted here for a pretty darn long while, feels good to be back :couch:
Anyway, I was watching this show on the science channel (Nerdy me 😛) about fetishes, and was surprised to not see the slightest mention of a tickling fetish!
The show featured standard S&M, bondage, and foot worshiping, but no tickling. Also, I usually hang around my great nation's chat rooms and from countless conversations I have had with who knows how many people, it would seem that the world of tickling fetishes is in the dark. They didn't even know such a fetish exsists!
So I ask you, is it just the ignorance of my own country or is the recognizing of a tickling fetish is this low world wide?

Guess me and my 'ler would have to spread the word.... :manicd:

It's not unknown to everybody.

The mainstream psychology book "Laughter: A Scientific Investigation" by Robert R. Provine (published in 2000 by Viking) has a whole chapter on tickling, with extensive mention of tickling fetishists.

The show probably didn't mention spanking, rubber clothing, schoolgirls, age play, infantilism, or watersports either.

Basically there are so many fetishes that no regular TV show could cover more than a small fraction. Tickling is relatively small compared to most.

Actually, I think their way of thinking is tickling, arguably, is childish and no one talks about it much. Sure, it's great when two lovers start tickling the living daylights out of each other, but people just don't see it as a fetish. However, if you do it all the time and are obsessed with it, then yeah, it is technically a fetish.

I honestly feel that most people DO NOT want to consider tickling a fetish because most of them do it at some point everyday or every week. What I mean by that is not the "Tie em and tickle the beejesus out of them" but the standard tickling your friend at a party for fun, or poking that cute girl in the ribs on the elevator, and to a degree those that tickle their kids, cousin's etc. If "Tickling" was considered a fetish then mainstream America might look at themselves in a diffrent light and we all know those stuffy religious nuts would never want to consider themselves involved with all things a "Fetish".
The feeling tickling is a "game" and "fun" and many people enjoy without sexual gratification so it cant be a fetish. After all when is the last time you saw someone "enjoying" a spanking, getting peed on or getting an enema WITHOUT sexual gratification of some sort.
But maybe there is.....wierdos....LOL

Compared to things like whippings, drwing blood, and other things couples lik to do to each other for some reason, tickling is way too common and innocent to be given much attention.

If you were making a TV show about fetishes, which ones would you cover? The things that makes people go "ugh!" or "eek!" or "eughghhghg!" the most as they watch. Tickling is "odd," but not really harmful.
