Tickling experienes in Martial Arts

Does any of you'll have interesting experiences with tickling in martial arts, be it Judo or anythin else? From my own experiences I know that it's a place that happens quite a bit and the lees seem to try to resist more than normal. It can lead to some fun situations heee.

lol i guess it depends where you practice. I had a few when i was practicing Kenpo. mostly during down time, goofing off. That was when i was younger and there were teens around alot. The place i practice now is mostly adults, (and mostly male) so it tends to not really happen much.

Only saw it once really and it was out of order. We were doing 2 on 1 grappling defence. A girl got taken down and one guy had her neck and shoulders immobilised and the other guy tickled her ribs.

I wasn't aware of it but she didn't enjoy it and looked uncomfortable when the drill was over. Someone went over to break it up.

We did use tickling once as a "fake out" when dealing with aggressive advances. Smile at the guy and make tickling motions back up his arm to his body. It wasn't tickling as such but it kinda messed with your head and made you snatch your arm back as it was very unexpected. Some people might call it a pattern interrupt.

My school is mostly men and married women, so it has never really happened. Some of the older students or the instructors joke about it during grappling but even that is far and few in between. I don't think I could ever bring myself to do that to a woman [never a man] in class as I keep anything sexual away from training. Now if I had a girl who was into martial arts AND tickling, I'd be all over her......[hint hint Fightinggril666]

I did actually tickle a thirty something that I had often thought about tickling. We used to lock legs to do sit ups and she said that she couldn't carry on and told me to force her to finish the set amount. I tickled her bare feet and she squeeled with laughter. I've never seen anybody do 20 sit ups so quickly and laugh so hard at the same time. As a joke she then pushed her smelly foot into my face and pushed my head down to the floor afterwards which was great for me as I enjoy that, haha!

never actually do it in class. But I did learn some good moves to hold girls down and tickle them with. hehehe

Yea, i've been tickled during class in the dojo before....lol many times....I've got the macho pride thing going, and the guys i grapple with quickly found out that i don't like tapping out....period...no matter how bad the technique is hurting. So quite a few of them have thought it's funny to tickle me while i'm pinned down cause they know i'm not gonna wuss out and make them stop....plus, i've been told i give good reactions lol

You can't get me hun, many have tried and failed heeee.

It's easier for us girls to start these things of course than a guy, guys have got to be a lot more careful. And it's never in a match, thats just not on. Its always afterwards, just a bit of rough and tumble playin, or if somebody gets to big for their boots I like to teach em a lession 😀

i used to do judo alot.
my friend used to flip me too the floor, and grab my foot, in a kind of foot lock, to make me tap out.
he was never good at making me tap out, so usually ended up tickling my toes until i did.
at least it wasn't painful.
he did this every week until some jackass couldn't do a move right and bent my collar bone, thus prohibiting me ever doing judo again....
i do miss the tickle fights he had though😀

hmmmm trying to remember.. used to take judo classes back when i was a teen, and yeah, tickling was used to tease sometimes, and used to get tickled by my roomie during bellydance classes (off the topic), that was disturbing tho lol.

I've seen a few things happen I guess, and there are certainly people I've trained with who I've wanted to tickle, but the dojang never seemed the appropriate time or place, especially when you train with people who take it quite seriously.

heh yea. I grew up taking martial arts. It was, for the most part, strictly forbidden during training (just because it was so damn embarrassing), but it didn't stop it from happening from time to time. Mostly it was just the girls who would get tickled, but the most memorable and amusing happened a few years ago. We were all training and suddenly we heard this horrid blood curdling screaming. We looked over and saw two of the students training and one of them (being submitted) was shrieking and flopping. Of course, we all stopped and thought "oh god... what horrible thing is being done to him? 0_o that sounds PAINFUL!" we walk over... and the dude is tickling his feet.

The instructor just walked away in quiet shame. =D

i don't know why but i'm laughin my butt off at that lol.. expecially the last thing u said about the instructor walking away in shame lol so funny..

Is that a challenge? Sounded like a challenge to me. I dare you to come to florida and say that to my face. You may be right that I may not be able to get you but odds are that you won't just let me try, so you will probably be tickling back. That is a win win situation...either I get to tickle a willing woman and make her laugh histerically or I get tickled by said woman and I get to laugh histerically, sounds good to me. BRING IT ON!!! [I still think I could get at least one spot on you]

You may be right that I may not be able to get you but odds are that you won't just let me try, so you will probably be tickling back. That is a win win situation...either I get to tickle a willing woman and make her laugh histerically or I get tickled by said woman and I get to laugh histerically, sounds good to me. BRING IT ON!!! martial arts and tickling are made for each other! lol

this is why i never learnt it as a youngin. far too ticklish for that sort of stuff! hehe. there is one experience i can share though.....we had to do judo or something similar for school sports one term in high school, in about the 6th lesson we learnt about pressure points and disabling attackers by exploiting them. the teacher used me as the guinea pig for demonstrating where each point was and how to apply the pressure, but every time she tried to squeeze the spots i had absolutley no reaction to it. it was quite humerous and no one could figure out why i couldn't feel it, for some strange reason it just doesn't hurt me lol. after about 3 mins or so of trying her heart out she finally let the rest of the class practice on one another. lol.

after class she approached me and my partner and told me to lift my arm up. she told me she had thought of one last point where she was certain she could get a reaction from. being a total idiot i lifted my arm, absolutley oblivious to what she was trying to do lol. as soon as i got it up she started tickling my armpit without mercy, i tried to get away but she did some insane judo grapple and got me on the ground where she proceeded to attack my ribs and stomach lol. it was a good class, but totally reminded me why i steer clear of martial arts 😛

I have seen that before, an ex of mine did martial arts, and i saw 2 of the girls get this lad down on the floor and tickle him until he was basically squealing like a girl and begging them to stop. One of the girls had her knee on the back of his head and his arms twisted up his back the other was sat on his legs tickling his sides. I have also seen a couple of them use tickling to calm down the loser when they have got mad or refuse to tap out

Heee sounds like a good time darlin. And come on hun, we sharks need bait you know 😛 join a class. Maybe it will toughen you'll up a bit and you can resist more darlin, which can be a lot of fun in the right situations.

I do have training in Tai Chi and pressure points as well sweetheart. If I can't find one. I'll make one on you. hehehe.


I actually just remembered one after class we were sitting on some chairs and a girl was sitting in front of me. Her feet were raised off the ground, her heels against the leg of her chair.

I reached down and tickled her foot. She yelled and jumped. It was pretty cool.

if i was your teacher i probably would have felt frustrated and tried to punish u that way too 😛
