Ever wanted tickling statistics? Wondered what percentage of women have ticklish feet? I've done some (well, quite a lot) of research over the past 5 years. 279 pairs of female feet tickled (excluding my own😉 ) with the following results:

Of 279 girls:
234 had very ticklish feet (<20seconds) or 83.9%
206 admitted this first
28 didn't fool me!

41 gave in eventually (20s - ~10 minutes) or 14.7%
16 said they weren't ticklish😛
25 dug deep!

4 could NOT be moved (10minutes - 2 hrs) or 1.4%

None of this was forced - no restraints used. I would be interested to hear of anyone else's 'research' findings and any comments.

many years ago

when i was in collage, i did a survey. i asked questions, and tickled 100 women. the tickling part was along the following lines; are you ticklish? where? where is your most ticklish spot? where is your least ticklish spot? how do you feel about tickling? how do you feel about tickling others?
you had a much higher rate of ticklish feet than i found. really ticklish feet were less than 50%. and over 50% reversed their answers about their most, and least ticklish spots. but i fooled them and tickled the spots they claimed were their least. the highest most ticklish spot was the underarms in the area of 80%, when the truth was finally told. thats all i remember for now.

Wow! You certainly had a lot of fun doing that research.

Five years being about 261 weeks, you got more than one new volunteer per week. How did you manage that?

And I would be intereste to conduct that research! I tried something like this in junior high, subtlely slipping in questions about ticklishness into a bunch of safe ones and handing out surveys to everyone who'd take one. I never compiled any data from it, though. Maybe I can apply for a university research grant to get the ball rolling . . .😎

I've kept a rough tally for the past 25 yrs or so. I didn't have quite that many subjects, but enough for a reasonable statistical sample. Maybe 60-70% had good tickle reactions (laughing, begging, etc.) and sometimes this varied with the same individual: ticklish one day, not at all when she wasn't in the mood, or something in between. Overall, when counting as ticklish the women who had any sort of ticklish reaction, I came up with roughly the same results (about 84%) as p_tickles.

P_tickles you have brightened up my day. I never would have thought that 83.9% of women have ticklish feet, I have new found hope for finding a lady with ticklish tootsies.

Of course you probably have great technique too. Perhaps you could share some of your foot tickling tactics with us novices.

Oddly enough, talking abou ticklish feet set me thinking. As many of you know it is my favourite place to tickle. But on myself as a very ticklish person, it's th least responsive tickle-spot. Go figure.😕

Ive had quite a bit of experience at this and most girls
were most ticklish under their arms.
HOWEVER< about half were ticklish on the hips right above and
below the iliac crest . Of the girl who were ticklish there....it
was almost always their worst spot. And boy was that fun!

When I was in college I took a Pshycology class and did a study on how much of ticklishness is in the mind. It consisted of tickling with and without the verbal teasing. The teasing practically always increased the reactions.

I love tickling stats!

yeah, I figured that most women had ticklish underarms, which is odd considering most shave every day and one would think the constant contact would be desensitising, but nonetheless, I love armpits 100%!

I've always suspected that far more women were ticklish on their feet (and guys too) than the 70-80% admitting it that I've seen on various internet polls.

I have no hard numbers, but since age 11, by my best estimate, I've tickled close to 100 women/ girls. Female family members; neighbor girls; female friends from school, church, and work; girlfriends; my sister's female friends; etc. (not including knowledge of other women's ticklishness I've learned from my friends who were their brothers, boyfriends, sisters, etc).

In thirty-one years, I've only attempted to tickle one female who wasn't ticklish on her feet (or anywhere for that matter). It was a girl who lived in our neighborhood back in the mid/ late 1970's....she's the only one so far.

Hands on...the young women and girls I can recall tickling in my life, even if just a brief tickle on the school playground. In that length of time, I've only found one who wasn't ticklish.
