Tickling for ticklings sake?

Hi so I'm a bit of a newbie here so I'm going to subject you all to my inane questions for a while, ok?!
I know quite a few people in the kink world, and I know that a lot of them don't necessarily find sex and "playing" mutually exclusive, in fact most people seem to view them as completely separate things.
I was wondering if tickling people felt the same way? Does tickling equal sex? Is one preferable? Does one lead to the other or are they completely separate matters?

2, I dont feel specifically either way. it depends on the situation.
3, No, sex equals sex, but I love it when tickling is involved, this doesnt necessarily work the other way around tho.
4, I prefer tickling most of the time.
5, both, but its situational, if a girl tickled me, I wouldn't then feel like I wanted to have sex with her, it would just be fun, if I was attracted to her then then I might want to but it wouldnt be because she tickled me. also, during my single times I often had tickle sessions with people off here or elsewhere and it was heaps of fun, but no sexual feelings at all, so again, totally situational, tickling is sexual to me when it IS sexual. If I have a yummy young lady tickling me in bed with few to no clothes on, this is a totally different and situation to the one I mentioned at the start of this answer and thus a different outcome.

Does tickling equal sex?

No. To me, it equals foreplay, but it can be about as gratifying as sex. Sometimes, the main gratifications happens in the mind more than it does on the body.

It all depends on how the individual person responds to tickling. It's sexual to me, so therefore it's something that I do with my husband as part of foreplay. Others can tickle/be tickled with no sexual responses.

I guess I'm just curious about other peoples experiences and attitudes. I've always been ticklish but never enjoyed it until fairly recently. I met a certain person who has corrupted me to their tickly ways, and the nature of my relationship with said person has somewhat influenced my views of, and reactions to tickling.

Tickling to me (the sexual/sensual kind), is foreplay to me so in that sense, the two are intertwined.

For me tickling is a "recreational sport" and is not linked to a sexual component. However, I can see how tickling can be used in foreplay but for me I just enjoy the laughter and control knowing I am the one causing someone to laugh.

For me, tickling is erotic but it is not sex. It can foreplay or it can be just tickling for its own sake.
