Tickling pregnant women?

Does anyone know whether its ok to tickle pregnant women?
Is there a certain stage of pregnency when the laughter is unsafe?
Or is it totally ok?

Any insight would be appreciated.

i believe you can, but you have to be careful. do it in bits and pieces so that it wouldn't harm the baby of her. remember you can't tickle her like you would do regularly🙂

yeah, if you're careful. In a case like this, I'd stick with outer extremities. LOL! That is where I'd be anyway...

I once tickled a pregnant friend of my moms. I think she was somewhere in the 6-7 month range. Nothing crazy just playful, messing around type tickling. Dont think there is much harm in that.

The more extreme/torturous sort of tickling towards the end of the pregnancy might not be the best idea though.

isn't tickling a woman while she's pregnant really an unfair advantage because she cant really move quickly or defend herself as much?

I just KNEW if I hollered, the Gang'd come through. I re-read all of those, and ya know, it's weird... why is the word PREGNANT always in red? What's the dealio, there? PREGNANT this, PREGNANT that, PREGNANT , PREGNANT , PREGNANT . I don't get it.

It is a property of the wonderful search utility here. When you search for a post using a keyword as Ayla did, it highlights that word in red after finding the post(s).

After clicking on the links Ayla provided, you will see "&highlight=pregnant" at the end of the addresses. If you erase just that from the address window and then press the enter key, the red highlighting should go away.

I don't know about the other moms here but I remember being EXTREMELY sensitive when I was pregnant, i think because the belly button was all stretched out.

I agree, Shygirl, it seems they are more sensitive when they are pregnant. I just wonder does that extra sensitivity leaves once the baby is born?? and do women think it is an unfair advantage to be tickled while pregnant because they cant defend themselves as much as when they're not pregnant?

I'm 4 months pregnant, and my husband still tickles me on a regular basis. Not for long periods of time though.

A few years ago I saw one of those Prestige "Amature Coed" tapes, or whatever they were called, where I pregnant woman was tickled pretty effectively everywhere. It seemed real and no harm seemed to come of it.

At my old job, one of the girls there was pregnant, and she used to ask me if I wanted to feel her belly and feel the baby kick, etc. I know she was extremely sensitive, and not just at her belly. She claimed she was a lot more ticklish everywhere then. Of course, she and I were pretty good friends, so I would get in little tickles now and then. She even enjoyed it especially on her feet, probably because they hurt so much over the pregnancy period.
