Tickling (The Soundtrack)

I'm just kind of curious here.

I know that I have other interests other than just tickling when I am "playing" with someone, and that may enter in to this, but I have always found that I like to have music playing at least a little bit in the background while I am in session.

I'd imagine that some of you are the same way.

So here's the question: What music drives you during session?

For me, it is typically techno of some variety, which is odd because that is the only time I listen to techno...ever.

Stuff like:

Sandstorm by Darude
As the Rush Comes by Motorcycle
Castles in the Sky (I have no idea who this is by)

So let's have yours....oh....no hijacking the thread by saying "The Chicken Dance!!!!!11" and getting people off on a tangent!

Hmmm, I've never had a "session" with music however I am a HUGE fan of music. I'd have to play around with that and find a favorite style.

Warning before you read. As usual, this is a long post because music is literally my life.

I am a musicology student at UC Boulder and hope to go into MA/PHD land soon, so I had to respond to this one.

I tend to like downtempo stuff, I.e. boards of canada, and tickling is a sentual thanig for me as well as playful. If I was going for sentual, light erotic tickling I'd have to say the downtempo, or hell even ambient soundscapes, or perhaps an instrumental drone from a ragga?

Now, for the more aggressive tickling, maybe some... how about James Brown? I mean, if it's gonna lead to sex, then it's gonna be Marvin Gaye's I Want You record eventually, right? But if it's tortuous concentual bondage tickling, hell maybe even some free jazz by the likes of Albert Ayler, something loud and raucuss, right? And as crazy as this last one might sound, and he'll probably shoot a lightning bolt out of his sax for me mentioning it, but Coltrane's "acention" work, because it is loud but has solos before the whole band comes in at top volume and then someone else solos. that work scared the shit outa me the first time I heard it, but I bring it up because the laughter would be intesified by horns blasting at top volume, that's just a theoretical one though. No offense meant to trane who probably meant the work to be a spiritual ascention.

Let's see, what else could I do, maybe some Pink floyd for a moderate pace/all over exploration of a bound body? I have shin On You crazy Diamond from '75 as I write this, and it's good background for exploration, all those synths and the like. hell maybe even some Jan hammer? I'm thinking instrumental prog rock type mood here, do I dare put ELP here? well, I just did.

For those of you who have stayed this long, I think I'm done now, thanks for reading and I advise not to quote this entire post in your replies or your hand will get tired from strolling the scroller.

Later, was that helpful or just boring? I have 600 gb of music on this computer so there is a lot to choose from.

Depends here. If I am with a significant other I like a little Air Supply in the background.

With friends I will play whatever feels right. AC/DC or some instrumental music. A little Mozart either way is good too.
