We have our own vernacular, and language that we use constantly such as tickler, ticklee, switch, session, spread eagle, xframe, and so on.

Have you ever encountered another person who you caught using the lingo, and zeroed in on them in hopes that you were meeting another tickle freak?

I've heard the fetish terms such as tethers, cuffs, bdsm, sub to and dom quite frequently but those were mostly directed at other fetishes. (Restrained bondage, and other sexual escapades)

Nothing that ever led to any tickling activity unless it was a vanilla that became interested in the tickle play acts

It's a wildly small group that we have here, but I would venture to conclude that there are quite a few risky geniuses in here as well.😉

What about you?

At the moment, the only tickling-specific language I can think of our ticklee, tickler, and things like ticklegasm, tickle toy, and death spots. I'm sure there's plenty more, but switch, session, spread eagle, and X-frame are all used fairly often in the greater BDSM community and I tend to think of them more generally because of that. I never here tickling fetish talk out in the wild and only once in a blue moon suspect someone is a ticklephile based more on their enthusiasm for tickling rather than the specific language they use. I'm sure some boldly use some of our fetish-specific language in public, but I think the vast majority keep that secreted away. In the rare instance I hear the word "soles," I immediately get the strong suspicion of foot fetish, as it is a word that is almost never uttered without other qualifiers like "of the feet" without being fetish inspired.

Not word related but when I was younger a friend of mind did tickle my feet with a hairbrush and that always did make me wonder if he was in to tickling too. Maybe its just a case of there was a hairbrush nearby and he decided to try and see if it did anything to me but Id say to the vast majority of people who see a hairbrush tickling wouldn't enter their mind

Naturally, my ears are pricked when I hear the word "tickle". And then I have to remind myself that for the vast majority of people, it's not a loaded word in that sense. They can throw the word about casual as you like, in a way that is difficult for us to do!

I was thinking the same thing. Most of our terms are borrowed from that world. "Safe word" is another good example. Which is a shame in a way. It'd be nice if our community's jargon was more specific to us, I think. But there you go.

I've never caught anyone else using unique tickle fetish terms but they haven't caught me either. It just isn't a subject I ever talk about in general conversation. Maybe I should start working them in though. If they're into it then it'll show all over their face for a brief moment.
