Most people don't actually hate tickling. They just want it limited to certain settings with certain people - which makes sense.

If you actually picked 8 random people, there's no way they'd all passionately hate tickling.

Depends on the context really. My time commissioning tickling requests on sites like OF, a lot of women who say they hate being tickled come out enjoying it with a few even saying they will make it a thing. As long as it's in playful or flirty context between two consenting adults then it's all good.

Yes, the "oh, I hate that!" reaction is often half-joking, or a reflection of a situation where people don't want to be tickled. You can see in the renfaire videos how open most people are to tickling in the right atmosphere. Because it's playful and fun and everyone is publicly treating it as a game, the vast majority of people "picked" for the stocks play along and have fun. (It's not like they're physically forced to sit down and be restrained.) In all the hundreds of videos I've seen, I've seen only one woman who (still laughing) refused to get into the stocks (and they of course acquiesced and let her leave) and just one who did get in but acted whiny and annoyed when tickled.

It all depends on context and tone, not just an absolute "I hate that" (except for a relatively small number of people, often people who were abused and tickling became associated with the abuse).

I always think of Anna Kendrick as being an example of that - she describes how she broke up with a guy who wouldn't stop tickling her, but even when she talks about that it's specifically about the fact that he wouldn't listen when she kept telling him she couldn't breathe while he was doing it. A different guy who approached it a different way, respecting her limits, would probably have gotten a very different reaction from her.

I am positive this is not real. From looking at this guy's content, he seems to be doing parodies of these kinds of "social experiment" videos that they do on channels like Buzzfeed or Cut or Jubilee. I think this video is not meant to be taken seriously at all.

Yup, exactly. I've always felt that most people can enjoy tickling as long as it's introduced carefully and with total respect for their limits. Even people who had bad experiences and genuinely dislike it can sometimes be guided into enjoying it if it comes from someone they really trust.
