Tickling VS anticipation of tickling

Hi All! I've been thinking about this for a few days now. Thought I'd post it and get someone else's opinion.

Let me start by saying that this question is mainly for the lee's and switchers out there, but, the lers are free to chime in also.

Which do you like better? Actually being tickled or the anticipation of it?

I can say with the utmost confidence that alot of lers enjoy the anticipation as much as the act.

While I enjoy the anticipation...being strapped down, tensing up, flinching when you think they are coming in for the first tickle--but it was just a tease, watching and listening and waiting for my ler to begin. Breathing a little heavier, heart starting to race--all of that sensation piling on before they start. All of that is certainly an enjoyable build up. But there is nothing like the actual touch of skin to skin, those fingers digging in for that first tickle, my muscles bunching up in response, and the first laugh bubbling up out of my throat. That's where the release is.

I'm not saying that the actual act of tickling isn't great; I just think the anticipation, the build-up, is just as important (if not more so) than the actual act. Let me use an example here: just sex is fine, but, sex with a nice amount of foreplay can be earth shattering.

The anticipation is better if you’ve got a really good tickler who plays head games and makes you feel the loss of control and helpless. The tickling is better when it’s someone who’s more quiet and gets right to business. I have to admit, I like the anticipation more, being teased and with detailed threats of what’s about to happen, while making sure I know there’s nothing I can do about it. If it’s done right it can make the tickling a lot more intense
