For most of the people who founded and contributed to this site from the very beginning, tickling IS a fetish, and remains so. There appears to be a stirring in the community among those who would like to separate the fetish from the tickling. I'm not sure that can happen.

For the vast majority of us here, tickling (and foot tickling in particular) is not an extreme sport, nor is it a silly offshoot of teenage rebellion. It is a fetish, and shall remain so, long after this transient crowd has moved on to the next fad with which they can piss off their parents and fit in with the cool kids.

To be completely true, some of those shots are my favourite ones.

To me, it is not just either tickling or worshipping.
I like the best of the two worlds, so they cannot exist alone, without the other.

I would also add that, most "action" shots appear cluttered: people get in the way, you either see the action, without the location, or the location without the action.

Vids, being dynamic, can show both.
Shots can't, so I'll usually pic a good "sole" picture, over a cluttered tickling shot.

Besides, some sole pics made good model material for my own tickling drawings, so they had an extra use.

You're absolutely correct. I use the term "Fetish" loosely here because it has broader appeal socially, and is also used in mainstream society as a euphemism for extreme behavior without regard for the fact that fetishism describes the sexual gratification upon the fixation of an inanimate object.

The correct term would be Paraphilia, however that word is still used exclusively as a clinical term for the description of someone who exhibits "deviant," or "abnormal" sexual behavior.

Since I personally do not subscribe to the idea that sexuality has a static normal, I therefore use the term Fetish as a personal preference. 😉
