This question kinda came up for me when I posted a true story about being tickled by a massage therapist... And I was just curious, what is tickling to you?
In other words, is it completely sexual?
Is it a total turn on and nothing else?
Or is there a way to differentiate sexual vs just for fun/platonic?
And for those of you that would initially respond that tickling is completely sexual, what about kids/babies? (and before we get all deep into the whole underage thing, I am asking this question innocently in the sense of trying to determine if there's a point where you can draw the line where you're tickling out of fun vs tickling because you like it)
For me, tickling is both sexual as well as just for fun. It could be either. And that's especially been true for me ever since I recently came to grasp with the fact that I like being tickled and that that's ok. Like now, I tell my dates fairly early on that I like being tickled. If that drives them away, so be it. I guess the only thing is that I don't tell them that I would like to explore the realms of being tied up and tortured but I've only just begun to explore those feelings and thoughts myself so I can't quite share them yet. Anyways, once I came to terms with the fact that I like being tickled, I was able to also totally differentiate tickling as a sexual component vs tickling as a totally fun, laugh out loud activity. I don't feel weird or turned on seeing a mother tickling a child. I actually just laugh and find it fun. I do, however, am jealous of seeing a girl tickle her boyfriend... again, just the ability to differentiate without conciously doing so.
I can be tickled and it's not gonna necessarily lead to anything more... in other words, not all forms of tickling to me are foreplay oriented. Which is why I now wouldn't even get mad or threatened if a male friend of mine grabs my side. I wouldn't enjoy it the way I would if it were a girl but again, I can remove the sexual component and it would just be no different than a punch in the arm.
